Next to that is the Documents folder icon, then Google Chrome icon, then Microsoft Power Point icon (which is the currently open application), but the last icon I don’t recognize. Interesting they would allow that through censorship. They have their own home grown operating system. And there’s really no reason for them to “skin” their OS to look like Microsoft Windows. Also, the only reason NK keeps a strong hold is because of its huge military...all of the war-torn countries in the Middle East and Africa can't really keep the peace because they have pathetically-small militaries. Also, NK has a ton of surveillance and is tech-savvy, whereas developing nations across the world typically don't have the best digital coverage. In addition, NK can't really run away as refugees since NK has a deal with Russia and China that those two countries will turn back any escapees...the border with SK is too strongly surveilled, so it's basically impossible to go out through that way in most circumstances; most of the people that have escaped only did so because they were allowed to work abroad, whereupon they defected...but, NK only allows people with family to work abroad, so if they escape that means their family is punished and thus everyone that escapes usually leaves family behind to be executed, tortured, or sent to prison / work camps.
