For those who're hesitating to watch this drama, i wrote this for you. For those who're feeling to drop this show after watching a few eps please read this. For those who love this, let's show the world how stunning this drama ❤️ This drama may be not-extraordinary. But you know what, this drama portrays humans' emotions. This drama is not your typical drama where it's being connected with painful tragedy, or intertwined past neither about 'other side of the world'- This drama is being built by genuine feeling. Lovestruck in the city illustrates a couple who met by coincidence and break apart/being together by fate. Jae won feels attracted to Sun-ah at the first sight. He treated her with affection and passion since the first meeting. Sun-ah on the other hand doesn't play dumb and act shy like other female leads. She may not appear to be as 'women-empowerment' characters (Ko Moon Young, Jang Man Wol, Yoon Se Ri, etc) like how kdrama lovers typically described, yet she shows the REAL characters of a confident lady for ordinary women. This is unlike other dramas where they always pair the eccentric personalities with a cold nature, yet this drama uses a softie character pair with a bubbly identity 🥺 The "I love you" part (ep2) was the saddest confession i ever heard in kdramaland. Jae won realized the confession was quick, yet he courageously professed his love because he acknowledges he's head over heels for her. Ironically, you can see sun-ah's agony in her eyes after the second confession. After all, she knew Jae-won is fell in love with 'someone else'. My message for those who are confused with the story pls re-read the synopsis and read if you haven't. Rewatch the first part of the 1st ep, where the 'producer' explained the format and rules of the 'reality show'. No offense, but how come on earth you guys don't understand the story 😂 it's so simple and direct. For those who thought this is boring, remember you haven't see lee eun-o yet. Many more to venture 🤗

Dropped at first cause I couldn’t get past the first 15 min due to the interview setting and the FL who looked really off at first. But glad that three years later, I decided to give it a go again. This drama is an art. I even love the interview format now. It’s a very refreshing and realistic take on modern love. A lot of dramas have rich guy poor girl plot, but this one explores it in the most realistic and nuanced way. The way ML and his cousin see life and relationship with rosy colored glasses due to their privilege vs the way FLs see it due to their struggles is the gist of the show. They both lived the same moments with each other, but how different their perception was? How much do you really know about your partner vs how much do you imagine in your head? It was obvious that ML didn’t know the identity of the FL, but at times even the FL asks ML if he was always this way, meaning despite knowing who he was and where he came from, she was still discovering new things about him. Also shows how long term couple who seem all happy could have deep rooted problems too that they often overlook. And how proper communication and reassurance could have cleared up a lot of misunderstandings between all three but especially the third couple, but they resort to fighting and breaking up instead of being honest about their feelings like young couples these days. The interview setting adds comic relief and also shows how we portray ourselves in front of others vs how we really are. Very subtle, yet passionate take on love, life and self discovery. There is nothing like this drama. I could analyze each characters and actions with subtle hints here and there by the writers all day. Also, first k-drama that doesn’t shy away from showing real intimacy (not just wooden kisses and awkward hugs) and talks about different aspects of relationships like sex, marriage, commitment, one night stands etc. This is as real as it can get, wish they make a season 2 or more dramas like this.

Where are all these people that are hating on this drama??? I don't really venture out into threads and other forums where kdramas are discussed nor do I watch many kdramas in general so I'm really out of my depth it in terms of general feedback, so it's very disheartening to see people here say that people haven't been keen on it. Worse yet saying it's boring. Admittingly I do believe it started a little slow and didn't quite capture my attention at first but once it did I was hooked. I'm really enjoying it so far. A lot of credit has to go to these two amazing chemistry. Truly palpable. I kept willing Jae to hold on and not leave and Sun-ah to get their faster lol I was so engrossed. These characters feel so authentic. Like you can see these people in real. You don't always get that feeling with kdramas even once that you enjoy. Plus the cinematography is gorgeous. Added bonus for me is the fact that the eps are short. 70 mins plus kdramas can be a lot to take in for me sometimes especially if I'm not watching it weekly

Again her character is fickle and keeps ignoring him after that night while he's being passionate n approaching her. She avoids it wen he comes to hold hand, avoids recognising his presence, was abt to go to movie with other guy. She says thought ending it as one night stand is better. Beyond all this hell put his cap over her for shade that's wen she decides and this SCENE happens. Again her character us very fickle unpredictable so they break up after marriage again no reason she says. Pretty much irritates me but we don't know her past. Park jae won is such a goldmine😍😭 I can't see him getting hurt. She is sooo fickle mind fluctuating bipolar n hurting him THOUGH we still dk her past.
