If you have any questions for Kim Jung Gi, please let us know!

Kim Jung Gi mentioned in previous interviews that he learned how to visualize how to draw in his mind. Is it possible to explain how this skill works, the process or exercises?

he mentionned "exercising and eating healthy" as one of his tips for upcoming artists in one video i saw once, really hits different now.
@zedharith6695 Жыл бұрын
@@Do_Vide2 Dang, sad but true. Guess artist would often forget about health because too focus on getting better. It’s quite addictive at least for me.
@gooblymcfarts10 ай бұрын
@@zedharith6695 I agree because drawing is very addicting. But im the case of eating healthy and exercise. People wont notice but i notice the quality of my work gets better. when your care for the body that helps you draw
@zedharith66959 ай бұрын
@@gooblymcfarts Nice to hear that, guess I’ll try it too. So far in my art journey, I would try to push myself so much and drink too much sugar just because I want to keep drawing. I realized that in search of improvement, we just ignore our health which is the most important thing. Having rest or slow down really helps on my side of learning.
@gooblymcfarts9 ай бұрын
@@zedharith6695 well yeah it makes sense when you think about drawing a different way. Drawing seems abstract because we think our bodies aren't important. But imagine an Athlete only eating sugar not sleeping well. And not stretching. We know they won't play as well. It's the same as drawing. We need to take care of our brains and hands, because it treats it like a sport too. Since I viewed art that way, it helped me improve a lot

I think people place that sort of value on talent so they dont feel as bad for not reaching the level that they see in their heroes. Talent at most is a nact or inclination. Its not even worth mentioning. Jung Gi himself points this out so many times and rightfully gets annoyed when people disrespectfully mention his "talent"
@Sarubotai4 жыл бұрын
@@rousseaurees-baker1162 ive seen friends waste away 5 years trying to accomplish something someone else master in a month. Dont want to burst your sensitive little bubble but welcome to reality...
@guilhermepf27153 жыл бұрын
@@Sarubotai it's not because of talent, you need to know what the story behind it or what that person did to learn it, if i have a basic notion of drawing i would obviously learn something faster than my friend who doesn't know anything obviously. Think about the mindset a person has when drawing, kim jung gi has been drawing since forever and just thinking about the fun he had doing it, he noticed how different things looked from different angles and this kind of thing served as the basis for him even today, but a person who has not had that kind of thinking, who has studied in another way, it can take more or less depending on how he studied, he has nothing related to talent, he just learned in a more pleasant and beneficial way for him to learn faster and better, how is one born with the talent to draw? does it make straighter lines more perfect circles? There's no such thing as a talent for drawing, you can't be born knowing how to draw, you learn, it's easy, many artists nowadays are new because it's easy, peter han is proof that effort can beat talent, his drawings have as much detail as kim jung gi, and he also draws only from "imagination", obviously not everyone will reach that level, because the effort is VERY high, but it's totally possible, talent is a lie, they always talk about talent when they see someone doing something impossible, but it's always impossible until someone else does.
@Sarubotai3 жыл бұрын
@@guilhermepf2715 EXACTLY! Talent is having the aptitude to learn something faster than someone with no talent. Some people spend 1 year mastering one task, others spend 20, and some dont even master that task in their lifetime.
