I think this kinda establishes haein losing her baby was somehow her fault or atleast she's carrying the guilt of it like her brother's demise,this also shows the breaking point of hyunwoo and I think this memory is a big Part of why he despises her. Haein is so alone in her grief and regrets that she has gone cold and distant and has just forgot how to establish that love again. This series is so heavy both their life are just a great arc of tragedy 😢

People rarely think of the guy's emotions when a baby is lost by a miscarriage. Here the viewers got to see the opposite of what is expected. The wife suppressed her feelings and appeared cold and sterile about losing her baby. The husband hid his feelings publicly while falling apart privately by himself. I don't think either of them handled this well, but the pain was too deep for each of them. Sharing their feelings with each other would have been so much better, but it's not always easy or possible when you're hurting so much.🥺 I cried at the single star left on the ceiling after the night sky full of star constellations was removed..The pain can be so deep sometimes. So very deep. Can I make it to the end of the series to see how this couple's story completes itself? It's an emotional rollercoaster for me, but I sure hope so. I believe there will be a surprise at the very end.😭 PS. Don't hate on the wife, Hae-in. I can relate to her. She has had it tough...remember her being forced to leave school?...and even though she acts like a ice queen (pun intended) CEO in her family's conglomerate, Hae-in is still a person who only wants to be loved. Outside appearances don't always show what's actually being felt inside. 🙏

Both of them have different upbringing. Hyun Woo grew up in a loving family while Haein was hated by her mom. Being blamed for her brother's death have triggered the trauma to resurface. Their attachment styles do not match. Hyun Woo wants to hold on to their unborn baby's memories and Haein wants to let go of it because the pain is unbearable. She thought that it's her fault again why her baby died and so she doesn't have the right to grieve. It's a self-punishment. Hyun Woo didn't understand Haein's actions. He thought that being successful businesswoman was only her goal and that the death of their unbord child didn't matter to her. It hurt him so much to the point of hating her. Haein didn't know how to handle her trauma and instead acted cold and harsh to Hyun Woo as she thought or assumed her husband must be blaming her for the miscarriage like what her mother did to her. They both failed to understand each other before but the love is still there. It was only concealed by pain, hatred, and trauma. Fortunately they managed to unbox their hidden feelings to each other and was able to love again.

My best guess is that she got pregnant and soon after the grandfather gave her the department store to run and made the announcement about giving the entire business to her if she attained the Trillion Won Club status. She became obsessed with building the business and didn't take care of her health and lost the baby soon after. That's why she told herself that she didn't have the right to cry about losing the baby.

⁠@@RolexOp87I think it was both of their fault. Hae In was really cold like we know but Hyun Woo also let his anger blind him a bit. Idk I think because of her past trauma, which he knew about when she was saying that he thought that the miscarriage was her fault, he should’ve said something because she was clearly blaming herself. I don’t think what Hae In did (getting rid of the nursery) was ok without telling her husband, the father of her child but I don’t think him leaving like that and also not talking to her was the best thing to do, it was one of the issues that led to them distancing. She didn’t talk but is not like he did either, he tried twice and that's it just by saying a couple of words. Him leaving their room hurt her a lot because she felt alone. In episode five she literally told him not to leave her again and either in four or five she remembers her miscarriage and cries about it and how they hadn’t slept in the same bed (like as a couple, not like how they slept together when they went hunting) ever since. Hae In is obviously at fault for not showing her emotions to him but is not like she didn’t care about him or their baby. She never stopped loving him and she is still hurt by the loss of her child. Just because she didn’t love him in the way he wanted it doesn’t mean she didn’t love him. Of course, how is he going to know that she is sad but before the miscarriage, Hae In was very loving towards him, she was cold but never towards him. Wouldn’t it be weird for someone so loving to completely change after such a painful event, like something must've broken inside them? I think he failed to understand that Hae In was raised to don’t feel “pain” due to her previous loss but also wouldn’t it be weird for your wife who always showed how in love she was, who was so excited about being pregnant and that was hands-on planning the nursery, to suddenly change behavior and act as if nothing had happened, as if she never wanted the baby? Also if she didn't care about their child why would it bother her to see the empty nursery then (like knowing that their baby will never be there)? Everyone says she is too cold but she wasn’t loved that much as a child and she is trying to be the best version of herself for them. After the miscarriage, they drifted but they showed how he also stopped caring for her. I think people mainly focus on Hyun Woo because he is more vocal about his emotions and not Hae In because she is more reserved. In my opinion, she is the one that suffered the most. Not only because she had been subject to all the expectations Hyun Woo had been suffocated by since being a child, and her husband leaving her when she was hurting the most (which again some part caused by her but he didn’t care to understand that much and just made her out to be “crazy”) and for the physical sensation of losing a pregnancy, for dealing the knowledge that the life that she carried died while inside of her. Dealing with the guilt that she “couldn’t” protect the child she was pregnant with. I’m glad that the show depicts how the male also hurts because at the end of the day, it was also their child but I don’t think it compares to how the woman feels, she had the child inside her, in her flesh, feeling it inside her guts, that goes beyond emotional pain.

I think they never had the chance to grieve together. She had it cleared out without even letting him know and giving him a chance to say goodbye. That's a big part of the reason why he moved into the nursery (and he was disgusted by how cold she became).

If you think she endured all that ridicule, imagine how much he endured being that person. The person he thought would always be by his side showed no emotions after their baby died. In his eyes, she didn't love him or believe him enough to show her vulnerable side. Given what kind of man we see Hyun-woo to be, I don't agree. He showed constant concern and care for Hae-In. It's her that pulled away and became cold. I don't blame her since that's how she learned to deal with grief. Her own mother was horrible to her after the death of the older brother. Throughout Hae-In's life she felt alone in having to handle everything and her "strength" is forged from enduring so much heartbreak. She married Hyun-woo because he said he would be by her side. She made promises to him too. She didn't know how to be vulnerable with anyone.
