theprima01 At the beginning of the song he mentioned everyone leaving him and that he felt alone, so he asks that person that came to him to help him let go, sort of like moving on. It seems like the past has affected him a lot and he knows he needs to change for the better, the lyrics mention wanting to be able to live comfortably. He wants to be able to let go with a smile and become stronger with the memories he has but he doesn't feel strong enough to do it by himself. He needs support and strength from someone else, from that person that is there with him now. Or so I see it. I'm so late lol sorry for bothering your life after so many years haha.
