So nice a Q&A! How do you see your future in the music industry? Do you want to continue as long as your father? (I hope so;)) & what is your absolute favourite song to sing live? Will there ever be a meeting in NL? :)

I wasn’t born when you started out, but I love 80s artists and music more than anything else as I feel the warmth soul and emotion in much of the music of that era . I have a few questions and my first question is, if you could’ve been in another group in the 80s what group would you like to have been in? My second question is, I once heard nik kershaw say he doesn’t like I won’t let the sun go down on me, are there any of your own songs you’re not that keen on? My third question is, over the years you’ve had many artists who have supported you on tour, who have been amongst your favourite artists to have supported you? My fourth question is, what unreleased material of yours exists and will it ever be released ? My last question is, after 40 years in music, is their any musical ambition you feel you still want/need to fulfill

Goodness me, where to even start…. Loving this! Lots of questions on the unreleased 1998 album and hopeful deluxe versions of Love Moves, Love Is and Now & Forever (LOVE THAT ALBUM please release on vinyl!) Aside from that, here are some of my questions…. 1. What does a typical day in the life of Kim look like these days? 2. Do you ever find yourself singing your tunes randomly - in the shower, gardening, shopping etc (if so which is a favourite - I’m guessing not ‘just another guy! 😂) 3. So many of your fans (including me!) have been with you through all these years and you’re genuinely part of our everyday life with so many memories of tours, albums, singles, tv appearances etc how does it make you feel that we’re still with you cheering you on? 4. Do you ever see a time when you’ll stop? (hopefully not - pop don’t stop!) 5. Will you be writing your own personal autobiography in the future? 6. Fun fact that no one knows about you? 7. Most random / thoughtful / heart felt gift you’ve ever received from a fan (is it a mini Lego Kim figure?!!!) Thanks for doing this! You’re the best x

Dear Kim. I am a huge fan since 1981, bought every album, every single and inhaled every single one of your songs ( A and B sides) Question 1: I'm still celebrating your last album. What a masterpiece! As I cant get enough of your brilliant art, i have to ask you: do you already have plans for your next masterpiece album? Alien No2 maybe? Question 2: How do you feel about releasing a CD with acoustic versions of your songs? Question 3: (Most Important question) I dont want to leave this earth without getting to know you personally once before. What can I do? Billion Thanks to the whole Wilde family for giving to me the most beautiful soundtrack of my life I could possibly ever have imagined.

Oh so many questions to ask. Do you have plans to release the aborted 1998 album? Would you consider releasing more unreleased songs like "Time To Live Your Life" or alternate mixes of later material like "You Keep Me Hangin On", "If I Can't Have You" or your solo version of "Shine On".

Hello Kim. There are many artists that had great hits in the 80's and are not proud of them because for example everything was managed by their record companies and so on. What about you? What feelings do you have about your production of the eighties?
@kyachdistent13013 жыл бұрын
I think the answer to that one is she's only ever really happy with "Close" and the few others she always does live. She seems to dislike/ignore everything else, sadly. This is true of Terri Nunn of Berlin who doesn't seem to like most of her own stuff.

Was it completed, why was it not released at the time and most importantly: will we see released (on physicals, of course!). Also, are there any plans to release your later albums on vinyl (the ones that never saw a vinyl release back when they first came out). Can´t wait to receive the deluxe and standard CD´s, along with the Shine On 7"! Hope there will be a vinyl version too!

Sometimes it’s interesting to know what are your feelings about them.

What are your feelings about the track "Dancing in the Dark," from Catch as Catch Can and how did you come to record the song and how did Nile Rogers become involved with the remix?
@kyachdistent13013 жыл бұрын
I can answer that for you. She HATES it, always has, and hates the album its from. Not only is there printed evidence of her absurd hate for it (reiterated in the "Pop Don't Stop" biography from the 1983/4 interview on her fansite), but the fact she never EVER does it live-nor ANYTHING from that fab album, is pure proof. Embarrassing really, when you consider how much better (and its album) is than the 90s love/soul stuff and all these bleeding covers she keeps doing! There's also no logic to this, as it's a song she NEVER has to do EVER again unless she chooses to, which she won't. And the rest of the 1983 album suffers accordingly. If I were here, I'd hate 'Kids' as being such a slave to something so average you can't get away from is sad, especially as it seems to dictate her every move and she lets it-even ALLOWS it!

@@gregjelinek7971 I'm sure you would, but don't expect her to tell you as this song hasn't meant anything to her ever, and to be honest, as she's never sung it or even played it in almost 40 years, her answer would be surely "I don't know".

Legendary? We cannot say that "all their songs have become classics". They're rubbish, virtually all of them, and it's the same song with just the words rejigged. No wonder the 90s became the 80s with this on the cards at the end. Same reason ever better songs like 'House Of Salome', 'Shangri-La', 'Take Me Tonight', 'Stay Awhile', 'Words Fell Down', 'Ego', 'Turn It On', 'She Hasn't Got Time For You', 'Million Miles Away', 'Falling Out', 'Schoolgirl' & 'Bitter Is Better' wasn't issued. Her labels have no clue in the UK, never have. Hell, even 'Boys' is referred to as B-side when it was a double-A with 'Water On Glass'!

Since you were there early in the MTV age do you feel like it boosted your career beyond what radio airplay only would have? Were the videos a major factor in your success levels?

As RAK and MCA were dumb enough to release barely anything from almost all the albums, and several of these didn't even HAVE videos sometimes-even 'Water On Glass' in the first year!-so I doubt MTV had any use, mainly as they prioritise artists, usually American of course.
