What's not charming her IMO is that the camera is twirling around like mad and going right in the faces of people. I hate that. I think this is quite charming performance and Kim sounds good. It would have been fine if she had done it in the studio because her voice quality is still good. However, I have never heard her sing live, and so now it’s obvious that they must have corrected her pitch when it was off back then because she is very bad at that. Her tone is as good as ever and I’ve heard Tasman sing it live so it’s not a bad cover but Kim would not get onto American Idol at all.

I didn’t know who it was until I read the reviews but it doesn’t matter. Fan of both of them. She looks great, not that it matters, but she needs to work on her pitch. Everything else is good. I have perfect pitch and that was hard to hear. Sad, because I could hear the woman had a good voice.

kinoppi77 Probably sober as a Saint. And as "pure" a voice as one, too. The sound engineer apparently wasn't asked or forgot to reverb her voice. What we're hearing is her real voice, I'd imagine. Reverb is the butter on the toast for a whole lot of pop singers. Without it, rough and plain, like this one.
