Raven is a great example but to be fair, some credit should go to Raven's parents for the smart management of her finances they did while she was a child on the Cosby show and teaching her the importance of living within your means. I'm pretty sure Kim didn't have anyone to teach her that. Raven is also fortunate that the show she was on is in worldwide syndication for which she will earn residuals and proper management of that money will take care of her for decades to come.

This is the SECOND time she's gotten thrown out of her house. She had to have a " yard sale" during the early years of RHOA when her dad was selling her high end stuff for pennies on the dollar! I expected more from Kroy. He didn't grow up with mentality and Kim has openly said multiple times how Kroy refused to purchase certain items out of their price range. However, that was short lived. 🙄. I understand investing in personal appearance as a business to brand yourself. A lot of the looks have changed for the better and helped open doors for endorsements. Reality "stars" (term used loosely) are not different from everyday people who were never groomed or learned about finances. People need to learn how to prioritize. Don't buy the house. Buy the LAND and build the house on the land. If this doesn't show anything else it shows "wealth whispers while poverty screams."

yes, they could have sold it and used the money to pay off the loan(s). But just because a house is worth $2.5 million does not mean it will sell at that price.. But they could have sold it for $1.7 million and paid off the $300k loan and had money left over.. But, we don't know if Kim completely paid off the original loan of $800k? Unless she paid cash for it back when she purchased the house. I think they had two loans on the house. They also spent money renovating the house..

Now if they had other debt from remodeling or furnishing it, the furniture could have been sold at auction and the remodeling budget could have been added to the sale price. So let's just say 1.7 because if it's worth 2.5 they could have easily found a buyer for 1.7 with furnishings included. This situation could have been avoided which leads me to believe that they do not have a business manager.

This is the story of my freaking life. My issue is that she's still considered a house wife. She has had her own show for many years. Several months ago I read an article about her daughter allegedly getting a DUI. The news article read Atlanta HW Child... Why when something negative happens in this woman's life she's immediately associated with an POC cast. As a kid I thought people be actually buying the rings, cars, homes and etc. Chile when I learned they pay for those things in installments, leasing and on credit, I'm like that's debt and you don't own it yet. People that were irresponsible when they wasn't wealthy, tend not to change when they get more money. Like they say more money, more problems. Trying to prove you're wealthy and high end, has left a lot of people broke who didn't have to be.
