As always, the best close-up reviews on the internet. Looks cool, can't wait to see how it performs.

Love the trigger under cut. This Kimber is on my list.

The first R7 Mako is too small for me to be interested but this looks like a winner. I've always admired Kimber products but have never bought one - that could change. 😎

I love how Kimber is making good non 1911 firearms!

First review I've come across on this new one. Interest peeked. Handsome pistol

Wow, the small details of the grip are really well thought-out. People like the Kimber K6S revolvers, this looks really good; I wonder if the memes about Kimber 1911s being paperweights die out or not lol. Great look Graham, looking forward to seeing this on the range.

I bought the top model with the installed optic and the threaded barrel. Mine came with 4 mags. It also came with a holster, that was for the original R7 Mako and does not fit the Carbon Carry. It also didn't come with the Small backstop or the Optic Adjustment Tool. I called Kimber to inform them and have them send me the parts. On the Kimber website the 15 round Carbon Carry mags sell for $48 each. I watched two different YT video reviews of the gun and they both said that the 15 round Original Mako mags, with the movable plastic sleee or spacer at the bottom, would also work with the Carbon Carry, if the plastic sleeve was removed. I called Kimber twice to confirm this, before I bought extra mags. Both times, Kimber said that they would not work with the Carbon Carry. After closely studying the R7 Mako 15 rounds with the removable plastic sleeve, I concluded that they would work with the Carbon Carry. I bought four of the R7 Mako 15 round mags for $30 each, a savings of $18 rather than buying from Kimber. I received the mags, removed the plastic sleeves and they are the same exact mags as the ones provided with the Carbon Carry. So Kimber lied to me on two occasions. Good luck trying to find a holster.

Muddy River Tactical has holsters as well as the ones available on Kimber’s own website. Shame on them for being dishonest.

Thx. Planning on getting a TS9 before they are gone. There probably will be no aftermarket, but it can be a house and range gun.

Great video, as usual.

Man i hope this thing does good. I love my ts9 but the grips a bit long and the lack of optics cut and market support sucks. I've had bad luck with kimber 1911s, they're great looking guns but I've had way to many reliability issues to spend so much on them. If this does good I'm getting one.

Any light bearing holsters for it? I believe every HD or SD pistol should have a light on it.

I am kind of curious about something you didn’t talk about. Since the bullet casing comes straight out the side, the ejector function is unique. Apparently it works very well, but while looking at your arm from the right side, it is not visible like a external extractor would normally be. When you took the slide apart, I could see it in there, but it was tucked deep in the slide. I have no worries about it functionality as no one has said they’ve had any issues with these firearms . But I am curious about the extractor.
@GBGunsАй бұрын
Pistol ejectors are not as complicated as you think. In the vast majority of guns out there they are simply a piece of metal for the case to get whacked against. Internal extractors are common too. While I've heard arguments for internal versus external extractors I've not seen it really make a difference. I've seen internal extractors get gummed up and external designs like a Glock also get obstructed when dirty.
@justflylowАй бұрын
@ I never said they were complicated nor was I trying to indicate that they are complicated. I merely asked what the design of it was since it clearly is an internal extractor. Meaning it’s not exposed to the outside of the slide. It’s certainly not an internal extractor like a 1911. It obviously has some other design. That is what I was asking about. And again as I stated previously, I know it’s very reliable because I have not heard anyone on any of the reviews. I’ve watched have any difficulties with it extracting. I merely asked a question about the design. Something that no one is talking about. Obviously the rest of the firearm is designed to be snag, free or smooth as possible for a concealed carry. I would think it would be important to at least mention the extractor and where it’s located.

Very interesting video. Thanks again for sharing your knowledge. Kimber has a history of manufacturing some nice pistols. Have a great weekend 😀🙏

Bump in the night, if I wake up, I'm clearing my own house and property. I'm not waiting the 15 to 30+ min response time for the local clean up crew, they aren't going to rescue anyone. The police in my area do not have any tactical skills, unless its the regional tactical team. In fact on some off hour shifts the officer on patrol to population ratio is probably 1:25K. The local cops are good at pulling over Sunday morning church speeders and issuing parking tickets. I live in a relatively peaceful area and even here the large businesses and grocery stores have given up and hired armed Security Guards.
