Actually Kimber put out a true double stack 45 acp 1911. Back during the assault weapons ban. It of course was a 10 + 1 .However if you had Para Ordnance P14 14 round pre-ban mags, they of course would work in it too. It wasn't around for too long. Only 3 or 4 years tops. Just a little FYI, dig your channel bud. 😎👍🇺🇲

I enjoy your first takes and use of many eloquent words to describe it. Even though I’ve soured on Kimber hopefully they can return their quality back to 10 years ago. They certainly have the capability. So I did a little research. Pros/cons (my opinions as your mileage may vary) -External extractor could be a good choice. -Toolless guiderod is nice. -Tapered 2011 mag protects extractor damage from over seating the mag with too much force. So what that means is most 2011 mags won’t seat as they will not fit in the grip of the gun. -Grip internal geometry will not allow more than a 10° rotation when inserting the mag which creates challenges for speed reloaders. -45 acp comes with (3) 13 rnd mags. -9mil comes with (1) 17rnd & (2) 20rnd mags. -3 1/2lb trigger is nice. -Aluminum grip is nice. -Lose your rear sight with a dot. -SRO style dots overhang ejection port. -PVD finish is nice. -Staccato P money is too much. -Ambi safety, Firing pin stop and the slide stop are all MIM (not a fan) -TTI Sand Viper knockoff at a fraction of the cost.

I recently picked up the KDS9C and absolutely love it's feel in my hand and the crisp 3.5 pound trigger... but this 2K11 looks like a bad ass big brother to my Micro9 and KDS9C collection. The bronze color looks pretty sharp.

I just finally grew up and quit being an idiot so I immediately think of how easy it is to break the law but I didn't think about the repercussions. I live in Texas so I don't really have to worry about breaking that law but It is just so wild to me how they make a law that restricts you to 10 rounds meanwhile your local drug dealer or robber has extended mags potentially have switches on their Glocks ECT. Main reason I moved back to Texas during the pandemic was to avoid laws like that

"Unmistakably Kimber" Hasn't been a selling point in over a decade. This brand still has to claw it's way back in the eyes of most 1911 enthusiasts. Their reputation for selling overprice poorly finished, style over substance range toys is still in full effect IMO. *Edit* I just found out they want more money than Staccato gets for a P. Kimber continues to be the fools choice. Showing up to the range with this would be embarrassing!

I can't trust Kimber either luckily it wasn't me that bought one but I stood next to a man at a gun store i went to regularly and he was returning a Kimber 1911 that he had purchased a few days prior from this gun store and told the employee that he wanted to send it back to Kimber for repairs because of stove piping, failures to feed etc. It was a basic Kimber 1911 nothing fancy but it still had a 1,200 dollar price tag and I thought to myself You sure bought yourself a nice 1,200 dollar paper weight. Me personally I want a go to war gun, if it's not reliable straight out of the box I'm not buying it. Are you willing to bet your life at a cost of 1,200 for a POS handgun?? I sure won't that's why my personal self defense personal carry pistol is a Glock 19 gen 5. Say what you want about Glocks, they are probably the most reliable handguns ever built.

I'm a fan of Kimber Products but I think I'll take the Aegis Elite Custom Over this model. I think the slid serrations are a little to much and take away from the style of the pistol and at a MSRP of $2200 versus $1200 I think I'll pass ! Good review though as always Colion !
