Right? Diane Warren gives her a huge compliment as well. Her performance was outstanding. Can you imagine what she would have sounded like with higher production values, like a live band, and the opportunity to sing the whole song which would have allowed her to build up to an amazing climax rather than just that that awesome end note. She made the most of it for sure.

She came in third in the season won by Ruben Studdard with Clay Aiken as the runner-up. She definitely gave them a run for their money. They are probably the most successful top three in the history of the show.
