Just came upon this video while looking for tips to organize my craft supplies. Piggy is a gem - I also have a pug and he is absolutely essential to the crafting process!!

Pugs are so adorable! I have a Pyrenees/Redbone mix who occasionally eats my crafting process. Or slobbers on it. Or hides it from me. *sigh* If he wasn't so gosh-darned cute, I'd get a lot more done.

What I love the most is that you have surrounded yourself with what you love and what makes you happy. I don’t know why, but I tend to try to justify what makes me happy as if there needs to be a “ reason” for it to be there. I’m going to follow your example and just enjoy what brings me joy! Thank you!

Ok -not only is this my FAVORITE type of video (shall we say I’m a little challenged in the organizing department!) but when Piggy joined the party I hit the jackpot! So pleased you will be doing more of these videos and showing us how other designers etc organize their supplies. Can’t wait for those and for more quilt/fabric organizing too - I know you’ve done those before, but I can’t get enough of them! ❤️😀

I don’t usually watch all KZbin channels all the way through, but I really got intrigued by this one. It was totally enjoyable and I had quite a laugh in the good sense. It was informative and the amount of floss, threads and buttons, brilliant. I’ve got this down as one my partner is going to watch, so he can’t complain. I found you funny in the most adorable way and your set up and organisation absolutely fun. For anyone wanting to hoard, you should go around and show them how to do it properly. I will certainly be following your example and nice to know I’m not the only mother who empties her buttons and tells them to sort them out. So many advise to put threads in numerical order but I just want colour order, and seeing yours, I’m going to follow my heart. Thank you for inviting us to your home, it was a lovely visit ❤

Button, button, whose got the button! I’m thinking it’s Kimberly! LOL! You are a collector for sure, but I love it all. Your room is gorgeous and it would be a delight to work in there. Also love your thread wall. It is unique and so colorful. Thank you for sharing what works for you. And, I’ll be sure and visit you if I ever need a button. Thanks Kimberly, this was a fun tour and very informative. Some tips could actually work in my very tiny space.

Everything is so very pretty and organized but Piggy stole the show by complying with stitching with you!!! That was priceless! I thought that I was pretty organized but have 50+ WIPS. I retired 3 years ago and have created a stitching and sewing room but it’s not nearly pretty enough! ❤️❤️❤️ Your stitching area is something to strive for!! ✂️🧵🇺🇸

Sorry I missed the live. My favorite floss is anchor. The white and black are not course as others and lay very smooth. I’m so enjoying the sail away mystery. You can wash your needle work with adding vinegar to set the color and lukewarm water. I like washing Aida cloth after I’ve finished so the opening(holes) close a bit and makes your design look good.

You are probably one of the most brilliant, accomplished, and creative persons I have ever "met"! I was amazed and fascinated through the whole video. Your home was absolutely gorgeous. I would ask you to adopt my husband and me, but I'm afraid you'd get physically ill seeing how disorganized I am! Thanks. I look forward to the next one.

AMAZING!!! I love it all. I’m 70 and too old to do on such a large scale as you. But I have DMC complete set several times over, but none other. I don’t know how to live my life w/ a computer for ordering things, because it all gives me a headache! Ha! But it was a joy seeing yours. Thanks for sharing. I’m going to do jars but not decorate them. Just like them plain w/ knobbies on top! I love it ALL. Do you have room for children and your husband? I see you made room for piggy.

You are such a generous person Kimberly. Your video is truly wonderfully presented, and your home is beyond my imagination when it comes to being so absolutely almost obsessive to making everything beautiful and organised in a kind and caring way. (Please forgive the obsessive mention. I get it!) This is has become important to me and why I want to learn more about you and your hobbies that you love and make! Also, it's so nice to learn how your family fits into your love of what you work at and your hobbies. I think you rock! From my perspective. 💖💖🌺🌺🌺🌺

That cute little aqua colored tray from Home Goods that you are keeping buttons in is actually a scone pan. LOL It's stoneware, right? Pat out your scone mix into a circle, cut into 8 wedges, place each wedge in it's own section and bake. I have a cream colored one from King Arthur Flour Co. but I am very jealous of your turquoise one!

Quilting, needlepoint and cross stitch. I’m so excited. My husband is too ( I’ll be out of the way with all my stuff!). Your organization is outstanding! Loved the video but most of all the finished piece storage. What a wonderful closet. I keep all of my smalls on a big bookcase in our living room. A stitcher once told me those are made to enjoy so I do. But my bigger pieces need a closet like yours. I also like your setup in the bedroom, it’s similar to my setup in my living room. I just don’t always put everything away. Thank you for sharing what you do!

Thanks Kimberly for sharing how you store your threads and your beautiful sewing room! I have buttons displayed(some are my grandmother's) in mason jars with pin cushion tops as well, on top of my storage cabinets along with vintage cookie jars filled with vintage and family sewing notions. Have you see the thread spoon dolls? I have one in my sewing room I made years ago, her body is made with an empty serger spool, she has empty small wooden sewing thread spools for her arms and legs with a few buttons between them, a large wooden ball for her head, that I glued yarn on for her hair and a dress that I made and machine embroidered button along the edge. She sits atop a Singer tin and keeps me company while I sew. My crafting chair is similar, except I usually have one of our two cats joining me. (as a multi-crafter I do many things in the same spot) so, my side table has a basket underneath that holds different projects in their own bags and my light sets behind that hidden when not in use and my lap desk slides between my chair and the table.
