ngl “Lelith Hesperax” is imho one of the most RANDOM things to reply to Kimbra’s song video. i’m trying to parse what (to you) Kimbra’s song here and Lelilth have to do with each other? are you perhaps saying the song is a metaphor for the Drukhari soulthirst? and the “you” in “back to you” is her old ways of fighting off having her soul consumed by Slaanesh? or is the song about her relief from the soulthirst that she’s been getting by throwing her lot in with Ynrarri? or maybe the “back to you” is more about Commorragh being her home, which she has been drawn back to by Vect? kind of like the famous Pacino line in Godfather Part III: “Just when I thought I was out, they pull me back in” …please explain 🤷‍♀

@@qzbnyv it's not that deep. This video popped up in my homepage, and I clicked it. I have only listened to one other Kimbra song, that was not her feature on Gotye's massive hit several years ago. Why Lelith Hesperax? Because of the video art! Tall, pale, barefoot, thigh high, bikini, a single pauldron... The overall colour pallette and tone feels very Drukhari ... Honestly she's just missing the red hair! The fact that you managed to pull even more abstract connections is frankly awesome.

WHAT THE HAPPENED TO HER MUSIC. When I thought all hope was lost with music today….where every singer sounded like a little girl…..breathy and immature…..autotuned to the nth degree and monotonous melody……I FOUND CAMEO LOVER…..then SETTLE DOWN…..ETC ETC. Kimbra was amazing. She was quirky, interesting and beautiful. Most importantly she could sing! And sounded like no one else. Then Primal Heart and almost everything since has been crap. Nothing interesting….nothing original. I get the feeling she changed producers…..and ALL HER MUSIC sounds the same. It is heartbreaking. Same thing with CLEAN BANDIT.
