Thank you for all the work you put into your video production. It's a wonderful experience. Your content is honest and I love it. So many sewing video start off with This is so easy or Your going to get this done in 20 min. Your video shows that we sewers are not alone in our quest and that frustration over "simple things" is real and that perfection takes a lot of practice. Your voice over work is right on and keeps a comfortable pace with the video. Thanks again for all the planning, shooting and editing. Nice work.

Thank you so much for this video! I’ve always struggled with the lining pattern; I never thought I should cut inward. It’s so painfully obvious once seeing your pattern. As for the even hem part, I also struggle with machine stitching, so I just hand sew everything. But as Eilen has commented, I find sewing a diagonal line from the lining corner to outer fabric corner really helps with the shape.

I totally agree on lining finishing. They could go really well or be a total pain. Thankfully I’m getting useful advice from other KDivas on how to tackle the challenge I faced in this video

This looks really good. It just needs pockets 😍 but idk how to add pockets to a tailored skirt like this. Don’t want to look bulky. But I also want to learn those hidden pockets with the straight flap...idk if I’m describing it right. It’s the kind of pockets you see on the back of trousers.

I really loved this method!! and is sacry for most of of us too, the mayority of tutorials will tell you to hand stich the hem as well , but you make by machine and with no visible stiches on the outside .... On the problem corner, maybe try cliping the fabric on the diagonal so it folds easier!!...Just an idea.... But beautiful job nonetheless I always get a bit down when on other tutorials they made a beautiful garment but with not so great finishing details on the inside....
@KimDave4 жыл бұрын
Thank you Belinda for the kind feedback. This was a scary and fun project, and I’m glad I tackled it even though not to perfection. I will keep your suggestion in mind when I’m trying this again 🤞 Hopefully it goes well when I try again

The back vent though, I actually get it done a couple several way, and the sweet part is they all turn out perfectly, this is cool, but in the opposite, I usually cut out both left and right back pieces with the vents protruding 😁😁😁😁, sounds funny right..., But the big work lies on the lining pieces......... Like I've said earlier there are several ways to do it...., And if you're going to copy me, I detected all of em with just two words of motivations to myself and that's " NO RULES ",.....so long as I can get the perfect result, I don't think there a rule to follow And that part that turn out bad, I'm sorry I had to say BAD🤗, why not close up the main fabric with a diagonal stitch and then freely join your lining...........
