Japanese and Korean have similar grammatical structure and some vocab sounds the same, too. Its not too surprising they were able to pick it up quickly. It’s like an English speaker picking up Spanish.

I really respect the importance SM tends to place on foreign languages. They seem to put a lot of effort into making sure that their idols are proficient in English, Chinese, or Japanese. They might not be the best company overall but I’m glad they take this aspect seriously.
