@Loofy well not technically, becuz Kaigaku barely reached true potential of an Upper Moon, he is merely a subtitute and even Yushiro stated that If Kaigaku had been proficient in full potential of his Demon Blood Art, Zenitsu could hardly defeat him

@@k.o328 Well it’s part of his promise to Jigoro chi-chan owing to the fact that he can’t bring Kaigaku back. Furthermore, witnessing Jigoro committed seppuku without anyone as his inheritor to cut off his head is painful enough to trigger Zenitsu’s anger toward Kaigaku so much that Kaigaku must be executed. He didn’t want to kill him but he has to becuz unlike Tanjiro, their connections are zero from the very beginning, and he can’t find the way to bring Kaigaku back.
