Kimura from guard is uncommon unless your opponent sucks. Kimura from side control is much more useful.

Newbie here: I learned that grip to roll over to the left into Mount, or maybe his Guard. I'm not sure I ever used that though lol.

Dont forget to line up the elbow with the shoulders by pulling the arm into your chest and getting an angle with your body. It'll still work without doing this, but if you line them up, it works way better. Thanks!
