c Lee Thais Bangkok ( Krung Thep Maha Nakhon ) are ethnic lao they came from Lao former Ayutthaya kingdom back in 1782 ever since Taksin a Chinese descent and Rama I an Iranian descent came to power back in 1768 they began threatened anyone that called themselves lao even today there are ten of millions of them still afraid to called themselves lao is because many of them are afraid of losing their jobs, citizenship, or afraid of being labeled as an anti Thailand, etc, and then there are millions of them that sellout completely they don't wanted nothing to do with lao peoples in Thailand and in Laos.
Lao people around the world do disdain/hate and posthumously condemn to death the barbaric/mad kings of Siam namely Tarksin and Nangklao for launching two destructive/genocide wars against Lao LaneXang kingdom and then ordered to set fire burning down Vientiane our beautiful capital for two time. We condemn the barbaric Thai Siamese agressor/ invader for the atrocities they inflicted to Lao ethnic group whom they forcibly displaced to work for them.
Tommy Singsongkham Yes, they are lao but they are mixed austroasiatic speakers peoples Han Chinese, variety of Chinese Vietnamese, Mon-khmer, etc, according to DNA results lao are mixed with at least 200 ethnic groups of peoples throughout the entire Asia continent. The House of Norodom and The House of Sisowath of Cambodia were founded by Lao Khmer Surin, that's how Khmer language, culture, food, etc, are influenced by lao.
