That area's been picked over. Not that many kina. Good dive conditions. Makes for a more relaxed hunt and gather. Taste test too ,sometimes the tongue is bitter. Depends what area the kina are in.

Taupo bay far north I assume. If you swim approx 600 meter out , there is the wreck of a rather large fishing boat. about 18 meters deep. There is a local school of blue moki, some nice crays, and a lots of butter fish. PS in Taipa the boat of my brother in law three days ago has been hit by a 5 meters white pointer.......

Yes, Taupo bay far north, thank you for the tip, will definitely have a go at finding it one trip and fish it, a bit too deep for my lungs as I don't use scuba
