Martha didn't kill herself over a boy. That's not the entire case. She didn't try to kill herself over JUST a boy. She was told her entire life she was fat, and ugly. But Ram and Veronica saw through that and loved every bit of her for who she was. But Ram moved on. Her time with Ram was special. She doing to that memory for twelve years not because she was desperate, but it was the only time in her life where she felt she was _worth_ something. She felt special. But Ram moved on. He died, Veronica was there for her, but she left in the end. _Thats_ why she tried to commit suicide.

I love that you gave Martha self harm scars. God that's a punch to the gut. Kiddos, anyone who feels like this in high school: It does get better. There will be a life after high school, I promise you. I never thought I'd make it to 20, but I'm 24 now. It's not easy and your hurt is valid. People can do horrible things. But they can also do wonderful things. There will still be assholes, but you won't have to spend 7 hours a day with them, 5 days a week. High school isn't the end.

What really got me here was not the song, or how she was planning on killing herself, but how it made me think. I actually had a Kindergarten boyfriend... others kids in my class would pick on him for, "liking the fat ugly girl". Yet, he would stand by me, and play games with me when I was alone (aka always). He left me in 1st grade, then the school in 2nd grade. Now, I'm in 8th grade, ready to graduate. I'm in love with a girl. She knows about these feelings. This is where the song comes in. I've always had darker thoughts, even about death every now and then. This song made me realize, that I won't be able to see that girls smile again, or hear her laugh, or be able to hug her... It just really crashed down on me...
