Very nice review. Got the Paperwhite 2021. II was buying now, would be looking at this hard. The 6.8 inch screen does give a nice edge for the Kindle Paperwhite, though.

Is anyone experiencing a contrast problem in the dark using the backlight? My new 6” 11th gen entry Kindle looks great in light, but all washed out in the dark with the light. Blacks are all gray.

Is it possible to send mobi files to this new kindle through cable? I’m intending to buy this new model, but I’d like to have my old mobi files in it, so I’m so afraid to upgrade. To convert my whole collection to Epub and then send through e-mail would be so much work…besides, I suspect formatting would suck.

Yes - just tried it and worked without a problem using the USB-C cable that came with the Kindle. However, the files must be DRM-free. So only unprotected Mobi-files work - but most of them usually are. You can also convert Mobi-files using Calibre, which is a free software you can run locally on your computer. Conversion with Calibre also works in bulk, so you can convert your whole library to AZW3 while copying it over to the Kindle.

Sehr nützliche Informationen und eine interessante Perspektive. Wenn Sie ein Skript verwenden, empfehle ich Sie, wenn möglich, es von einem Muttersprachler lesen zu lassen, sonst weiß ich nicht, wie man seltsame Konstruktionen wie "the screen gets black" usw. vermeiden kann. Das würde ich auf jeden Fall machen, wenn ich ein Video auf Deutsch veröffentlichen würde.
