as a structural engineer i do not think i would ever use this design. However this is a very interesting and interim idea that can truly be developed into something extraordinary, not only for base isolations but for other needs of decoupling as well.

Congractulations for such inovation. It reminds me off how Russian people are so talented.

cool , the concept i felt is simple and effective! very nice !!

PLOP!

The problem with this is that earthquakes don't just move side-to-side and as slowly as shown. They make abnormal waves like in water waves in the sea. The movements due to Earthquakes are very abnormal and with very strong impact. This technology will not sustain the buildings above 6-6.5 Richter Scale Earthquakes.

we might investigated that !

Looks interesting but are there any advantages over current rubber torsion isolation design widely used in Japan?

Hi , how can I obtain more info about how to design a structure on the kinematic isolation ?

So the rigid link breaks when the earthquake hits, but how easy is it to re-establish it?
@Diletant19527 жыл бұрын
There is no rigid connection. The system does not require intervention after the earthquake.
@Satelitko7 жыл бұрын
Oh, so that metal bracing is only to release the building from the pre-load so it can swing. I thought it was a structural element.

What about vertical movement?
@lotconvosotros16686 жыл бұрын
Este sistema is a bullshit. PLOP!

PLOP!

muy caro el sistema CHILENO ... menos OPTIMIZADO ...
