@@bojangles4118 Hello! 😃 It's just that David is telling us the story of his life and it doesn't feels like he just created a story and used it for the songs. The things he sings about did actually happen and I for my part can hear the emotions behind the lyrics and through his voice you can also hear a lot of anger and sorrow. Other bands may write good lyrics but David tells us the life lessons he has learned and how hard life really is, especially in some dangerous placed like Flint. So with "truth" I mean that he doesn't make up anything but rather he tells us what his honest, uncensored thoughts are. I hope I could make it a little bit clearer :)
