We are very pleased to be able to receive it from your hands in the Town Hall, and in the presence of representatives of the life of the city among whom we recognise several familiar faces, for we are no strangers in Birmingham. The Queen and I are now ourselves the proud possessors of the finished work of Birmingham craftsmen. As we use these silver knives, forks and spoons in our home, we shall think of our many loyal subjects in their Midland homes who have presented them to us." (Nat. sound)
