Anyone who says buzzos a arrogant prick needs to think about this. Him and the Melvins have been around forever. They've never compromised. I saw them open for System of a down in Detroit. They killed it. They have the room to talk. They just do their own thing and don't give a fuck. That's probably the most inspiring thing. \m/

***** If he gave a fuck about the people he was bitching about, he would probably want to change them. If he gave a fuck about his music, he would most likely give a fuck about people's unwarranted prejudices towards the aforementioned which would mostly likely stem from those people harping on the recycled garbage that is of the people he doesn't give a fuck about. Hope that makes sense. At his gigs he is merely trying to open people's minds.

***** There is something musically interesting there for people who haven't heard the album he was promoting and haven't heard him play those songs live. The same is true for people who haven't heard these stories. The fact that he doesn't get much press is why he repeats himself, because what is the odds of people already having heard what he has to offer? He isn't indoctrinated in what you might call the classy way of thinking, he is honest and hopes people find humor and/or irony in his stories. Just because he doesn't suck Dave's and Kurt's balls doesn't mean he is backstabbing them. He is simply expressing his view of them so that he might establish the ethos on which his music is founded on, which happens to be contrary to his representation of Dave and certain aspects of Kurt--who people mindlessly harp on when it isn't warranted and creates certain prejudices that need to be dispelled. Don't tell me that certain Dave and Kurt fanboys don't need this fresher outlook.

***** He isn't a prick. He is an open book, an honest guy not afraid to be revealing HENCE his music. If he was a prick that would surely reflect in his music.

Some people can't seem to handle Buzz's attitude, but honestly... He has the right to be like that! Hands down, the Melvins are one of the greatest bands to come out of the last 30 years of Rock. I still remember the first time I heard 10 Songs and Gluey Porch Treatments... Also remember listening to The Maggot and being totally blown away by the riffing and the whole feel of the records... Totally amazing material.

Buzz is musical proof you dont need to study music, technique or theory. At the end of the day, play what you feel and give it some guts and gusto and people will listen.

He's not a prick, he just doesn't care anymore. He's been around forever, he (along with the other melvins) have worked and worked and never bent the knee. If anyone has room to talk, it's the Melvins.

Mr B has always reminded me of Paul Sorvino, the fella with thee insanely hawt daughter Mira Sorvinho. Buzz couldve been Uncle Paulys stunt double in Goodfellas, thanks for your dedication thru the years. You've given me 3 decades of great entertainment. Now that's a great investment, being an entertainer and have always hit your Mark with me. I don't even like my house or my car as much as Buzz and Melvins content. Thank you for exceeding your musical and entertainment life expectancy. May you live forever and walk the chosen sir.

Dont want to alienate people? FFS the 1st time I ever heard the Melvins was when they opened for Tool in Orlando Circa2002. He layed down some god awful screeching note, let it ring out for 5+ min while they all left the stage mid set. Literally microwaving an entire arena of people.

"Houdini" is a true fucking masterpiece of grunge/sludge metal. The lyrics are pure gibberish, but there was a meaning behind that. It was their first major label release, and they stuck it up everyone's asses. They'll always do it THEIR way. I love them!!! Fuck Nirvana, Melvins were the real force of grunge. I'd also put Alice In Chains and Soundgarden ahead of Nirvana. JMO.

Totally. Nirvana was relationship girlfriend pop music. Nevermind is about Tobi Vail. In Utero is about Courtney. You'll never go broke doing that.

He puts it out too fast. He says those four albums were completely different..people see them as the same sound because they couldn't digest it as quickly as they came out. As far as the sound goes it was one big crazy Melvins album.

What do you mean? For a guy whose consistently releasing great music (IMO, of course) and going on tour all the time, he seemed fine to me. He's also in his 50's, so cut him some slack! If you saw the video, you would've seen him do that infectious Krusty the Clown-like laugh that he does all the time. XD If he seemed unhappy, it's more than likely that he's just tired from working constantly.
