King C Gillette Safety Razor Unboxing

I had this razor from walgreens and it was working. However the handle end became stripped and wouldn't screw on to the razor head anymore. I now use a vintage gillette razor from the 1960s

I use a 1951 Gillette Tech 3 piece razor I got off eBay in almost new condition with the case. I also use a 1954 Gillette super speed flare tip.

This is the razor that got me started with DE shaving. Still use it in my rotation in addition to several others now in my collection.

I bought one a few weeks ago. I recommend it. It's quite soft, but the result are still smooth.

Short answer is yes. How quick or comfortable that is depends on a few things.

@@snkneo-geo933 Nice! that’s how it was for me and a lot of new Wetshavers. Check out my video on Precision Loading to make sure your lather is good. (If you’re using soap). Use light pressure. I'm a real man who has no stock in Gillette. Couldn't care less about commercials... i bought this razor bc i was tired of all cartridges and disposable razors. They suck, this is a great beginner safety razor and the blades are good to my skin.
