I finally got a dust collector last week and went around the jointer with it turned on and put painter's tape wherever there was an air leak and it did wonders for the dust collection .. I did miss a few spots and I'm going to get a roll of foam tape tomorrow and do it all properly.... Have you had to change the blades on yours yet? If so, how hard did you find the process? ... Like you, my worst nicks are at the far end of the blade, but I have a new set that the guy gave me when I bought the jointer from him and have been trying to work up the guts to attempt to replace them. I have a Oneway multi-gauge that I plan on doing it with.

ACAB Media I haven’t had to replace the blades yet. I don’t do much wood working during the summer. I will need to soon. Let me know if that works well for you!

Hey, thanks for the video. I have a similar machine from a local tool house. The reason I am here looking is I just assembled it, and checked over everything then started running pine and it is *LOUD*, and the effort to keep the timber on the table is higher than I am comfortable with. Compared to my thicknesser which is really quiet compared to the jointer. I must be doing something wrong as everyone seems to comment that they are happy with their 6" machines for years and years.

There is no question it’s a loud machine. I wonder if you blades need adjusted.

Is it accurate? The only other review I could find says that the in/out feed tables are out of whack due to poor machining

Certainly accurate enough for what I need. It’s fairly inexpensive so I would guess are more precise tools out there.
