I Canada George V was crowned on the coins. I noticed that the Elizabeth II portraits used in Canada were often the same as the UK coins and I wonder if this Charles III will be used in Canada.

Regarding 2:52, the Latin version of the name Charles is "Carolus" Furthermore the Latin version of the name William is "Gulielmus" and the Latin version of the name Harry is "Henricus". Regarding 7:58, the difference between a tiara versus a crown is that a tiara is semi-circular with its two ends not connected whereas a crown has its headband connected in a closed circumference.

Modern tiaras are semi-circular, tiaras come in different types and can be a full circle, they do not have to be semicircular but because tiaras are pieces of jewellery and therefore being light in weight and delicate in nature they tend to be semicircle in shape, generally encrusted with diamonds and other precious stones and made of precious metals such as silver, gold and platinum. Tiaras can also be two in one pieces of jewellery with attachments like necklaces that when not worn around the neck is part of the tiara (just an example) Tiaras are only worn by women. However, crowns are ceremonial and symbolic and are built up a base and generally cover the whole of the head and are seen as regalia, crowns tend to be heavier and not worn as jewellery like a tiara is, crowns are worn by both men and women.

The coin designs are excellent. Can't wait for the circulated 50p one. However, the only gripe I have is the timing of the releases. The late Queen only passed away 3 weeks ago, and historically new monarchs had coins released with their effigy on, the following year from the previous monarch's death. Plus, although Charles has had his Accession ratified, he has still to have his coronation.

no, they will introduce new coins but the Queen coins will keep circulating until lost, worn out or people just save them out of circulation. More coins are generally minted each year than in previous years because of the needs of commerce so you will see a higher and higher proportion of Kings in circulation over time.

I find the lettering rather large and clumsy. The type face is fine, but It should have been slightly letter-spaced, plus more space at the bottom by the King's neck, then the point size could have been reduced.
