Did I watch a different video here? Or was I the only one that watched it to the end when the narrator drew a conclusion comparing both snakes? Good work. Good video. It would have been great to see if there's slight differences in how the poisons attack the body and nervous system. Black Mamba is slithering toxic mayhem. Only 10mg kills adults. I imagine as little as 5mg if it doesnt kill the adult will still likely cause very serious damage to the organs and nerves it targets for attack. Again very well done. I've always heard this snake was highly, highly lethal.

The King cobra is probably not inmune to Black mamba’s venom (as they live on other continents) and it is also slower. Yes, the King is larger and stronger than the Black mamba and if it catches the mamba, it would probably win.

adult kind cobras inject so much venom thats why mongooses even avoid them
@verbone
@verbone 3 ай бұрын
If an adult king cobra injects at least 300mg of venom, and 20mg is a potentially lethal dose, then the king cobra typically injects at least 15x a lethal dose of venom. If a black mamba injects 120mg and a lethal dose on the low end is 10mg, then a black mamba injects 12x the lethal dose of venom. And this is using your low estimates of the king cobra and upper estimates of black mamba venom. So even though mamba venom is clearly more toxic, wouldn't a king cobra bite, then, be more lethal due to sheer venom amount? Someone let me know what I'm missing.

Anything after 1 times the lethal dose is a bad time. When you start to get into the 10x or 15x i dont think it matters to much because you will be dead if you dont have the anti venom handy. In a fight i think whoever gets a good bite off first will win. Most likely they would kill each other in a fight.

The difference between a Mamba and a King Cobra is the when a Mamba bites you you phone your wife and kids and tell them good bye --- you've got 45min , so hopefully you have reception. The KC is deadly - no arguments but with the right anti venom your chances are almost 100% of surviving. With the mamba your chances are about 50/50 with anti venom
@LivingZoology
@LivingZoology Ай бұрын
You can survive longer than that with the Black mamba bite, several hours. It is important to get breathing support. You have a good chance of surviving with antivenom. Some places with many Black mambas have antivenom available (Durban, coast of Kenya). With the King cobra bite you will most likely die because the amount of venom is huge so you can die quickly from the overdose. Also, in most Asian countries there is no antivenom so you can call your family in this case.

@FischerFan
@FischerFan 3 ай бұрын
I believe it's a foregone conclusion that the venom of any species of taipan is, drop for drop, more potent than that of the black mamba. On Wiki's list of dangerous snakes, the only two that make its 'extremely dangerous' short list are the black mamba and the coastal taipan. I know that when it comes to dry bites, they are all but unheard of where these two species are concerned. Both are known to deliver multiple strikes in a single attack. Obviously, neither one is a snake to fool around with. If I had to have an encounter with one of them, I'd probably take my chances with the taipan because the speed and agility of the black mamba is simply unmatched.

@@gre812u Yeah, you see - you are correcting yourself. The King cobra is not fully immune to snake venoms, that we know. We cannot monitor all studies and research around the globe all the time, we could miss something. So asking again, where it was tested and proven that the King cobra is immune to Black mamba’s venom???
@gre812u
@gre812u Ай бұрын
@@LivingZoology This argument is not about a KC being immune to BM venom or even more tolerant to its venom than the other way around etc as you have pointed out. This is about the KC (specialist snake eater) devouring a BM and the information submitted by other zoologists support this claim because it has actually happened on several occasions and they have shared this information on you tube. If you get the time go see for yourselves. Just simply enter it into the search bar and you will get your answer

Even though they are from different regions. If they came in contact. Who would kill the other 🤔

The King would probably win if it would catch the mamba and survive the bite of the mamba.

This video is just a comparison. Cause KC and black mamba are separated by two continental. They naturally never met each other. I live in Indonesia and have a few of kc and black mamba are in africa.

that would be considered animal abuse since they dont even meet in the wild so a natural fight is impossible. if a person decides to to make them fight, they’ll go to prison

Thanks for your comment! It seems like you're referring to the intense nature of the battle between these two deadly snakes, almost like a 'processing factory' of action. If you have any specific questions or thoughts on the video, feel free to share them

Is the king cobra immuned to such potent venom? Edit: They aren't. They have resistances to prey snake they naturally encounter, not even total immunity. A black mamba's venom would probably damage the cobra greatly.
