This video is a little different from the rest, as these buses are almost completely retired, and I wanted to share the footage I have of these buses from 2014 and 2015.
These buses over at King County Metro are currently being replaced by New Flyer XDE60 "Xcelsior" Artic Hybrids. These are currently some of the oldest artics left running in the entire country, and some of the loudest at that. They have also been used as both express and local buses.
For those that are interested in interior videos, they can be found at 5:16 & 26:25 in the video.
These buses are powered by a Cummins M11 engine with an Allison B500R6 transmission.
Let me know if you guys like these type of videos. If so, I'll put up more compilations of retired bus fleets. Check out these playlists for more footage from the Seattle Metro area!

Beautiful, these buses have been and will always be some of my favorites in the region. I was very sad to see them to retire a few years ago

Now the only bus in service with a rear window is coach 6000, found on rapidride a or f lines.

These had flaws, such as the seats in the articulated section being extremely shaky and swingy during turns in comparison to the low-floor model, as well as the back-door-shut-on-you flaw.

Those aren't really flaws, and you also can't compare these in any shape or form to a low-floor bus. As for the rear doors, they were operator-controlled, not sensor-controlled like in the new buses. So if the operator hits the switch for the doors to close. That's what will eventually happen.

Interesting about operator controlled doors. I prefer the sensor operated ones. I was scared of these and the Bredas as a child, but they’re also nostalgic for me due to the high floor design feeling more spacious, and the rear window!! (Rear window also applies to the retired Gillig Phantoms on the 2 bus, my home line.) I also really liked the old green seats, they were padded really well. I also noticed that on the high floor buses, the articulation in the center dealt with the floor of the bus differently. The hinge required to go up hills was in the dead center under the seats on these, but off to the back on the low floor models. And I’m pretty sure the entire floor in the articulation moved separately from the rest of the floor on these, where it was attached rigidly to the back of the bus on the low floors. I figured this out by looking at the floor of both, and finding the locations of the seams and hinges. This gave the seats in those sections a different feel on these during turns, because they were not rigidly attached. (To the front or back, that is.) I bet they changed this to make it more comfortable for passengers, but I understand that it is apparently harder for the 60LFs to get up steep hills. So that’s not really a flaw for either of them, but a trade off. Not sure which version the Xcelsior uses, but I believe they omitted the seats in that section all together, it’s standing room now. About the rear windows mysteriously disappearing: To my understanding, the rear window was omitted from the low-floor fleet due to the addition of air conditioning where the rear window would’ve been. Still nostalgic for the rear window, but those got hot!!!
