This is one of the slower ones when you manage to find some of their earliest versions. This is just right, not too slow but not rushed

The other iterations each have their own charms, but yeah, the sheer brutal force this first lineup was capable of was legendary - I remember reading a review of their first live performance of it in Hyde Park, England, "it was as if a great serpent was uncoiling"... hehe Indeed.

Faster doesn't always mean better! There's a version on The Great Deciever that I thought to be the best! But, anything Crimson does is usually great !

That would sound killer. Although in this live performance, Michael Giles is still on drums as of '69, he left at around '70 or '71 to be replaced by Bruford.
