It's a real treat seeing the two parts being played side by side. So ornate... Like a pair of freaked-out spiders
@Racosz3 жыл бұрын
The most impressive thing is that there are no cuts in the video or audio. It's a real live performance, with no interruptions, from start to finish. Your cross-picking skills are outstanding as well.

My hands hurt just watching this. Good job. Hard to believe King Crimson played this live.

Yeah, along w Zappa, Mahavishnu, Yes, ELP, Crimson was/is one of those bands that you can't see how they can be so good live considering the complexity.

Absolutely. It's deeply hopeful but at the same time extraordinarily sad.

I'm a guitarist . That looks like work. I'll leave it to you guys and Rockin Robbie. Great job !

one of the greatest cover of the song! And I think I heard each one on KZbin. Congrats!

Respect and admiration for the accomplishment, and gratitude for your share. I'm currently working on both parts, so I especially appreciate the separation into right and left channels. Is there a backing track, or did you play over the original at a lowered volume? Thanks again for making such a useful educational video.
@astroguitarАй бұрын
Thank you for your comment. The backing track is a tonal adjustment of the original track.

great job! can someone explain to me the time signature's for each part? having trouble to count. thanks in advance!
@astroguitar5 жыл бұрын
It is easy to understand the adrian part first. The first half is 5/4 and the second half is 15/16. Robert's part sometimes pulls out eighth and sixteenth notes from there.
@hasrizalharon95865 жыл бұрын
@@astroguitar thats helpful. thanks alot. cheers
@mytravels38254 жыл бұрын
....and if that's not confusing enough, the drums and bass play in 17/4.

This is great! I'm working on this as well. What program did you use to synchronize the videos? I wanted to give the recording a test run when my hands needed a break, but I couldn't find anything great. Thank you!!
@astroguitar5 жыл бұрын
I use ableton Live for sound recording and Adobe Premiere for video editing
This is fantastic! Do you have a tab for both parts?
@astroguitar3 жыл бұрын
I'm sorry I don't have it
@ronaldp.vincent82263 жыл бұрын
@@astroguitar No worries! I'm working my way through. I've played some hard stuff, but this is next level! I had no idea how intricate the parts were. 5 on top of 4 on top of 15 on top of 17. Brain melted. Again, excellent job!

Imagine how much better you’d play if your 4th finger was independent from your 3rd
@alexroth55534 жыл бұрын
Sick! Do you use the 4th tuning for the fripp part or standard. I'm trying to learn it and both are challenging in their own way.
@astroguitar4 жыл бұрын
I use 4th tuning in some cover videos, but it was very difficult to use in this song.
