What gets me is the blatant double standard. For example, people look at heavy metal music with dark themes as taboo like it's so bad to listen to. Yet when it comes to people watching MOVIES with dark themes, people don't say a word. Why is one looked upon as bad and the other isn't? So dumb.

He said that the King Diamond albums are where he was able to get out his Satanic beliefs on many levels in different ways via the characters and the story's and that the KD albums are 100 percent based on his Satanic Philosophy and then mixed in with horror/occultism as well

About human sacrifices on the bible. In ancient cultures, human sacrifices were so usual to worship gods like Baal and so on, but the real meaning about Abraham & Isaac story is Yahve dislike sacrifices of flesh and blood. As you can see through the story, Yahve sends his angel to stop Abraham as he rises his knife to sacrifice his only son. It´s just a way to explain that God doesn´t want such a kind of sacrifices as pagans used to do.

@Nightbreed826 жыл бұрын
The Mercyful Fate albums were Satanic, back when he practiced LeVeyan Satanism and dabbled in the occult. The King Diamond albums are just horror stories in my eyes, but since some people consider any and all horror as Satanic, I suppose you can make the argument that they are Satanic in nature as well. But King Diamond himself is no longer a Satanist, just an Atheist. He no longer believes in any form of religion due to the fact that none of them can be proven. At any rate, I think they are overreacting in this video, and they are using the song out of context....one from the Conspiracy album isn't exactly the best to try and prove he's a Satanist, which he probably still was at the time. If they really wanted to use something Satanic of his, they should have picked a Mercyful Fate song lol.
@michellelambert87296 жыл бұрын
Paul Leach King does carry over some of the concepts from Mercyful Fate into King Diamond. For instance "they" are demons. But King Diamond is more concept albums made up of horror/ghost stories put to music....damn fine music, too! Whereas Mercyful Fate is more satanic. The background scenes in Sleepless Nights are from City of the Dead/Horror Hotel and Black Sunday. I have been listening to these two bands since 1988, they're amongst my favorite metal bands of all time.
