And I used to joke to my teen that Monarch made an 'agreement' with Elsa, Queen of Arendelle, to help put Ghidorah on ice. (I can just imagine that 'first contact' mission). That being said, I thought Legendary Ghidorah was an awesome creation--and I also think the mind of 'Kevin' is living on, inside Ren Serezawa's head, both angry to be trapped in the body of an 'insect' and grateful he's alive and that the insect is a technological genius. After all, Ren Serezawa's body was never found--no body means no dead. I'm sure they're currently working on creating an new cybernetic body for Kevin and his 'brothers'.

Maybe making one exception for that scene where they fought over the water since Godzilla being amphibious has total "home court advantage" there King G would have totally won and killed Godzilla had it fully been a one on one fight without any other interference. Godzilla had all of the main characters which includes the Earth's militaries and Monarch on his side and had Mothra helping him fight and even then his victory was 51,49. If someone's victory is very close AND they had significant help then it makes sense to me that without any help they lose. In straight up fight anywhere other than the ocean King G beats Godzilla.

@@inquisitiveferret5690Just because he wasn’t affected by the oxygen destroyer doesn’t necessarily mean that he doesn’t need Ozygen to survive, after all Ghidorah has had no ill effects from breathing in Earth’s Oxygen rich atmosphere. Not the mention we know Godzilla survived just barely, if it weren’t for Ghidorah’s flight ability he’d probably die as well. As such considering other various features I believe it is somewhat at least similar enough to life on Earth to be at least related to life on Earth.

So it raises the question of how he got there. Ghidorah seems to be an extremeophile in nature. Can produce storms, seemingly unfazed by the Oxygen destroyer, incredible regenerative properties. Couple that with some influence over Mechagodzilla I don't think it's a stretch to postulate he may be able to survive without oxygen.

Or if he is indeed a native life form of Earth then perhaps some oxygen low region of the Hollow Earth. Now that said, him being an invasive species is a problem, but we also have the mutos which also appear to be an invasive species themselves, and yet seem to be native to Earth. I guess the really big problem with classifying Ghidorah is that he has such a wide almagalmation of different species, plus his abilities don’t seem to be like anything on Earth.

Since he is an alien which is confirmed in KoTM he could frl not need oxygen or at least not need to breathe air for a good amount of time to help him with space travel. I like to think that if this version of Ghidorah WAS an artificial creationn of sapient aliens, then Ghidorah turned against and killed them before coming to Earth. One of the things that makes the Monsterverse's King Ghidorah worthy of the title "King" and a truly delightful villain is that unlike the Showa and Heisei versions, this Ghidorah isn't just the puppet of a bunch of tiny human aliens, fitting with the Monsterverse's eldritch themes of the Titans being so far above creatures like us and impossible for us to truly control.

I would like the plot where there are multiple Ghidorahs scattered across the space, and the one we know is one of many. The goal of all the Ghidorah is distrupt all the living colonies in the universe. After the death of movie Ghidorah, others got the hint and set sight on Earth and we'll get the Ghidorah invasion arc commanded by their leader Monster X (Keizer Ghidorah). And by that time Godzilla and Kong and some new allies would be evolved and have gained experience enough to put up a great fight.

It’s such a shame that hardly anybody cared about this universe until Godzilla vs Kong. I live in the hood and when it came out during the pandemic, I had prolly a hundreds people post about G vs K and the majority of them had never even seen Godzilla of Godzilla king of monsters. I think part of it is on the studio because if we’re being honest the first Godzilla movie was weak at times. Then they hardly even advertised a King of Monsters and rushed it out in early 2019. Had King of Monsters been made in 2020 the universe would have tied together better and gained a large fan base sooner.

Unless they destroyed the skull used in Godzilla v. Kong it is completely feasible for him to come back. He didn't take over the telepathic link from Ren Serizawa until they uploaded that energy from Hollow Earth, and there was no evidence the skull was destroyed after MechaGodzilla was killed by Kong. The Monsterverse also already has the plotline and vehicle to bring in Destoroyah since the Oxygen Destroyer missile detonated under the ocean in KOTM. I personally would like to see Gigan and a hybrid of Biollante and Hedorah in the Monsterverse but that likely won't happen. I still think there is enough material and plotline to see a Pacific Rim crossover, and a really neat idea would be a mecha kong that Jia could interface with.

Godzilla and Ghidorah don’t have a defined age or set lifespan, they can potentially be millions of years old. So if Ghidorah could survive traveling through space, it wouldn’t matter for him if it took half a million years to reach Earth. Given that Godzilla i.e. consumes radiation, there would even be an explanation how Ghidorah survives space travel in the basic lore of the franchise (way more radiation in outer space than here on Earth). Then there is always the possibility of high technology aliens, those were the villains in many Godzilla movies in the past, so not really something unexpected, to fill the missing gaps.

Probably not, but if evolution leads to something on one world, it’s entirely possible that something similar happens on other worlds. Convergent evolution is even a scientific term here on Earth for when evolution repeatedly creates similar lifeforms that are not related to each other.

I have heard at least one Fan Theory which crosses the Monsterverse with Game of Thrones and Ancient Astronaut Theory. Basically, Ghodorah and Humans both came to Earth from planet that Westeros is a continent on, all based on the House Targaryen coat of arms.

Interesting. I was reading the Bible and in revelation it describes a 7 headed fiery colored dragon (no wings). This Ghedorah is almost just like the description. I’m realizing allot of movies now are taking elements or inspiration from the scriptures and turn it into a fantasy movie.

My theory is that Ghidorah is either a genetically engineered Titan, or a naturally evolved species with a very abusive, envy-driven propagation method. If it was engineered by an alien race, then the question becomes "Why?". Maybe they just hate any life that isn't native to their own planet. Maybe they want to conquer other worlds and figured Ghidorah would be the easiest way to do that since they could just send it to a world and let it do all the dirty work, then swoop in and take the spoils. Maybe they fear the wider universe. Or maybe it was an experiment that went wrong. If Ghidorah is a naturally occurring Titan, then it seems that its method of propagation is not only interstellar, but also abusive. Going by ancient legends alluded to in the KotM novelization, Ghidorah was exiled from the world where it was born, but still felt an intense desire to rule. This desire may be instinctive, or it could be a result of the exile. Either way, this Ghidorah's "homeworld" is most likely NOT the homeworld of the Ghidorah species. A Ghidorah conquers a Titan World and then heads to its Hollow World to find the Life Energy (the true nature of Hollow Earth energy is that it is the energy of life itself, which is part of the reason Mechagodzilla became sentient). It then uses this energy to not only become stronger, but to reproduce. However, the offspring are not welcomed into the world, but are driven out of it. or killed. The survivors wander stars until they find a world of their own to conquer, and the cycle repeats. In many ways, Ghidorah truly is an interstellar, planet-scale virus.

I want an alien mechagodzilla story like the original 70s mechagodzilla. People have no clue how over powered alien mechagodzilla truly was! All the human made mechagodzilla's we've seen on screen since the 90s made by humanity doesnt come close. Even other aliens like Gigan and space godzilla would be amazing all stemming off ghidorah's alien story.
