Well, Godzilla was a god damn tank in that movie. But there was a time where Ghidorah almost killed Godzilla, but then the people who was in control of Ghidorah lost control, and he was shocked. He fell down, and Godzilla ended him. Refer to Godzilla vs King Ghidorah (1991) for that battle. Ghidorah could Obviously hand Godzilla's ass to him, but Godzilla can do the same to Ghidorah.

But from what I've heard he had a discussion with TOHO. Bear wanted to remade even the Ghidorah and Rodan original themes, but sadly TOHO didn't let him do it, and he could only remade the original themes of Godzilla and Mothra.

I mean, I personally hated the 2014 one, and I had very mixed feelings about Shin Godzilla (2016) (although t be honest, that one was far better, I thought, then 2014). But I've just never really liked these new Godzilla films. And, honestly, I personally felt that Godzilla Final Wars (2004) ended the series perfectly and so I just feel like they should've ended the entire series with that film. But that's just my personal opinion.

Unless you mean that we never got a proper fully-made American Godzilla film like the 1998 version, in which case, yeah I think everybody can agree that that film is horrible as it's not even Godzilla.
