It's funny to see that they have quite different tastes and that each of their influences (metal, african music, flute, 60's british rock, jazz...) kinda mix up and result in their music. I feel like every member is really involved in the creation of every song and bring his own touch.

i laughed so loud the cat ran away...then i realized i am old...recall this stuff in the late 70's...stuff we put on to see who was really cool at the late part of an all night party. check out Mahmoud Ahmed. then drift into Fela Kuti. and slide into Ali Farka Touré. it pleased me greatly to see the resurgence of this music in the 90s' and perhaps even now?

For me, I just go take my favorite artists and look up bands that are similar or are influenced by them, and check out most of the ones I don't know, and then the ones I like, I'll do the same for them, rinse and repeat. Or just look up "artists in the so-and-so genre" and see what I get.
