These are exactly same as old dr kinetic splittters. So if need parts for old machines can still get them Address other remarks. So what it low to ground . It far worse to lift logs up and over onto a splitter platforms numerous times. I get a knee pad or kneeling chair and just roll log from pile onto a lower splitter. Im not constantly lifting logs over and over
