Den wins this round. Cleaner, pitch and timing on point, more structured, and more variety of sound. Another masterpiece. Unreal mix. Really good round by Inertia too, and his bass slaps hard as always, but factoring in the aspects of timing and pitch, and just all around presentation, Den wins this round imo. And his bass ain't no slouch either! Good round by both. Im a fan of both guys. #bbu22 has been sick so far!

Not gonna lie bro Inertia is better 4 me, and the reason that Den won here is probably because of technicality. In my opinion they should just rate it based on how good it sounds, take variety of sounds for example. A variety of sounds if controlled well can also make great musicality. But the thing is theres alot of beatboxers that have so much variety of sound but no musicality and still win a bunch of rounds. I honestly think the same for Den in this scenario. For structure I think Inertia wins this and I think shouldn't even be a factor, because the structure is made up of other aspects into one. For great musicality you need great structure so that one actually matters imo. For pitch it also matters cause it can control the musicality alot. Cleanliness too, but for timing, someone with decent timing and great musicality is better for me than someone with good timing but decent musicality. Variety of sound and timing is basically the only thing that is being rated by these judges but most of the time they dont even have good musicality which is a bummer.

I really enjoy listening to inertia generally but the pitch and timing issues in this round make it hard for me to believe he has a good chance against Den. Lots of good ideas but not refined enough to go against a beatboxer with as high of a standard for quality as the opposition. Good stuff though nonetheless! :) two North American beasts!

Damn… “My kids are getting innovative!” That right there made the round even harder for me. Where K.I. lacks in pitch control he carries with technicalities. He’s a monster no doubt about it. But Den came and tamed the Beast, not only did Den perform some of K.I’s signatures but with complete pitch control. And then proceeded to execute plenty of K.I’s techniques with his own Den flare on top. I’m personally leaning towards Den because of the fact that I felt K.I kept to his own style, and didn’t take a risk in showing that he can do what Den can and can’t do. Where Den lacks he makes up for it in musicality, complexity, and pitch control.

@@imblurryy7317 I see what you’re talking about. But it was poorly executed so I didn’t realize it was K.I proving he can do what Den can do. I’m not saying he can’t do inward bass. K.I is a master at it of course he can add more technique to his inward bass. But I’d like to believe Den’s signature is his vast arsenal of how he uses not just inward bass but bass techniques in general and how he can instantaneously switch on a dime and musically sing or hum with absolutely great pitch control. For me, in order for K.I to prove he can do what Den could do I needed more pitch control from K.I, but that’s just me. K.I’s singing and higher tone humming felt out of place of this set. Like for example Heartzel vs Hiss if you’re not going to fully immerse yourself like Heartzel did then stick to what you do best and show what you can do is better.

I think Den has worse audio quality (not judging technique of beatboxing in this category) so I think audio point goes actually for KI. Others I agree, but the thing is that judges are both KI and Den fanboys so they can distribute extra points in any way, unpredictable for us I believe. Hope that still Den will win through better skill (at least this time).

Although the counter was good at 1:23, unfortunately there were major pitching mistakes... Instead of keeping the humming at the steady C# he decided to go "follow" the melody (Which is C#, B, Ab, G, F#, E) and for my surprise he hit the notes C#, A# and A; instead of C#, B, Ab. At 1:35 is actually in pitch with the scale with the hum hitting F# which sounds really good Later on he "doubles" the humming part (at 1:40), he hits C# nicely but still slightly pitched towards D on the second hum and then instead of hitting Ab two times he ends up doing: A, Ab, A, Ab. Not only there were pitching mistakes on this round, but I could also tell timing problems across the video which I'm sure the judges will figure it out.

Honest critique: I really was into the buildup till about 00:29. That was the drop. Why did he change his BPM at the drop wtf. That was my only timing critique. The last part with the 'Daddy Inertia' was epic tho. Solid round, gonna watch Den next

There were two noticeable moments for me where he dropped the BPM randomly for seemingly no reason going into the drop, and it makes me wonder if he just can't execute those techniques at that speed or just lost the rhythm somewhere. The part right after the opening lyrics is also weird and the timing was just not pleasing to the ears at all. Felt like the drums and bass hits were on random beats until about 30sec into the drop. He also changed the timing on his second drop before he tried to do the Den counter and I was lost on the timing. Pitch at the end and some of the timing was also botched.

From a judge perspective, pretty much everybody can see except for the two judges that inertias style is getting very repetitive. They were both musical but den's was way more pleasing tbh. Inertia had quite a few technical mistakes and den I don't think had any. KI's timing was sometimes off because he hasn't perfected some things yet. Den for me. No hate , both did good.

for me, den 100% won this. battle points, enjoyment of listening, and most other categories. im just worried he will lose due to the bias of chezame and sxin dont get me wrong i think what theyre doing for the community is amazing but when it comes to inertia, they are biased. in the gbb 7 to smoke battles for instance, chezame and sxin both voted for inertia in a battle he clearly lost, against napom, where there wasnt even a tempo, his timing was so so off, yet they both voted for him and he won as a result. again i like these guys but im sorry they wont get away with letting inertia win this.

I personally enjoyed Den's round more, but I'm not a judge, so it's not my place to say who will win. That being said, The King has one massive attribute that is so unique to him that nobody else is even on his level with it. His aggressive, raw POWER. Not even Vocodah hits as hard as Inertia imo. And you can call his sounds repetitive, but all of his drops fucking bang.

Either inertia or den does not think new(exist den'nothing)in this battle they still do something as we always know Den does inward bass alternating with his voice Inertia does his inward bass alternating with the thoast voice or humming or his voice we can guess they will do that since both videos started But someone says that boring at inertia I think it's because they have known or headed his music for a long time since 7tosmoke to gbb2021 but Den is new but peoples always say inertia is a repetitive but I think both are a repetitive but I think Den is surely better and I knew inertia does like his wildcards but it is a remix and yes also the "too late" that is why you call it repetitive, isn't it??

While i love K.I, i gotta admit that Den took the round. K.I's signature sound is his incredibly hard-hitting inward bass, sadly the audio mixing was not focused enough and we get a tad dull and empty inward bass. Disagree? Try turning your headset volume to full, if it isn't shaking the bass wasn't mixed correctly. A great example (weirdly enough) of a great mixed bass, was Vilardo's round against Jordox at the end of his round where he shows off his inward.

Yea I love Intertia but Den definitely took this one. Intertia really needs to focus on his dubstep sounds cause some of them are so spot on you'd never realize it actually came from a beatboxer. If he focused on those like he does his inward base he could make some seriously impossible sounding songs. But unfortunately in this there was no technicality but just rhythm and musicality. Wish he would have changed it up more cause he definitely has the skill to win this.

My Rating 6.5/10 :/ The first half was ok didn't make me surprised as much and didn't feel groovy either - 0:00 - 2:11 - 2.5 Second half really made me feel that groove and lost it when it finished and was surprising from the drop "It's DADDY INERTIA" and his inward control was insane! - 2:11 - 2:58 - 4 I think den takes this one for me because this round of Inertia wasn't that exciting. (Disclaimer : ⚠ This is my opinion, you can agree if you want to but its only an opinion. ⚠)
