Thanks for posting this treasure!!! I had no idea that Steelie and Clevie worked for Jammys. Bobby Digital also deserves an honorable mention for being featured in this video. These four men are undeniably the architects for what we know today as dancehall music.

Great video, I'm surprised this video piece was not added to the King Jammy's Documentary, King At The Controls DVD. Nevertheless, where would the great King Jammy's be without his Posse. What we just saw was his Studio team, Steely (RIPower)& Clevie and the man himself Bobby Digital (RIP Boss) As an aside: those Latinos with their Reggaeton, wouldn't have sh$t to be dancing to if it wasn't for these cats. These brothers played a critical role in Jammy's success as a Music Producer and Record Label owner. In addition to that the whole landscape as far as Jamaican music is concerned, changed overwhelming with the onset of Digital technology. Traditionalists within the Reggae Music fraternity either had to accept the change, or move out of the way. Now lets not get started with his SOUND SYSTEM Lol!! P.S. Special mention goes out to former Jammy's music engineer Squengen Francis, King Tubbys (Dub in itself, is a seperate genre because of this man).

Started watching thinking yeah good interview with Jammys at the peak of his career, but the second half, Steely and Clevie, Bobby digital, Cultural Roots (?) blew me away. Used to have a little home studio with some of that kind of equipment like the Tascam reel to reel, big old desk, drum machine. Never got to that level though lol

Llewellyn "BigDaddyLeo" O'Reggio the name of the group of men singing that you thought were the Wailing Souls is actually a group called Cultural Roots. And the name of the song is "Wha Frighten Dem" also known as "What Frighten Them" Produced by King Jammy. Also repressed by Super Power. @@karen6181 Karen, it is really sad what people of the world are facing right, and what is to come. I worry for the young people as they are the ones who are in peril. The older generation at least got a chance to enjoy the niceness of nature and socializing with each other, now the world is becoming more and more a social prison, run by a select few. Love's goodness will always prevail and the Highest Creator will see to that. Best wishes for you and your loved ones in 2022, and beyond.
