This movie was pre-Code. There were pre-Code movies that were fairly violent, such as All Quiet on the Western Front (1930). That film had gunshot wounds and even severed limbs.

it's not a snake, it's an elasmosaurus. the lizard also isn't a normal lizard, it's the fictional two-legged giant lizard that appears only in this movie (and some merchadnise). there's also a lot of grammar errors, king kong didn't fall to the empire state building, he had fallen FROM the empire state building.

It terrified me as a child and it terrifies me now. I think the brontosaurus just mawed or crushed or shook that man to death in it's mouth like the other sailors. It crushes and injures the people incapacitating or severely injuring them and dropping them injuring or killing them leaving them dying.

A big diffrence between this film and the 2005 reamake is that kong is a real asshole in the first film and acts way more animal like, and by the end you are rooting for the planes to shoot him down unlike in the 2005 film where it is more tragic and you feel bad for kong. both films leave you feeling diffrent ways, for this film your glad he is dead but in the remake your sad. TLDR screw this vertion of kong, the film is still amazing thought.
