Dang, didn't know this game had shooters out here like that lmao. Let me preface by reiterating what I said at the end of the video, I don't think this game is terrible. In fact, in terms of the " video game to movie " adaptation wave of the early 2000's, this is one of the better ones. People in the comments seemingly didn't watch the entire video, yes I poke my fun but it's all in good sport. Regardless, I appreciate the discussions/conversations.

@@corvoriever539 in terms of the early 2000’s movie to video game adaptations I don’t think it’s bad compared to its competitors. But I still didn’t enjoy the game all that much so I still don’t think it was as good as everyone claims

One of my all all-time favorite games. I know there’s virtually no shot of this happening, but if they did a remake or remaster of this that would be perfect. But if one day randomly they made a separate open world King Kong game but based in Peter Jackson’s universe.. now that would be legendary for me.

A remaster would be sick but honestly the ps2 does a good job at articulating the overall vibe on the island. When you compare it to the 360 it’s actually kinda crazy how the 360 managed to make the game look worse in some aspects.

The loud breathing and gasping is probably because the game wasnt designed with headphone use in mind. The designers thought all the players would be using their tvs which was most common back then. Its not noticeable without headphones.

nope. this is one of the best linear-adventure game i've played. I recently replayed it and i wish there's a remastered version of it with better visuals and animations

I LOVE this game, especially the ps2 version, I can confidently say I have played through this game more than anyone on the planet. Without looking at it through rose tinted glasses I can agree with some of your talking points but I think the game has a charm and still holds up well.

It definitely holds up especially in terms of adaptations. I loved this game as a kid and it was nice to finally beat it too.

Man so many struggles and failed attempts as a kid with this game. I got as far as to the dinosaur 🦕 come running in. I finally gave up. So this was nice to see how the rest of the game actually turns out… a lot of games portrayed from movies tend to suck ass. As if it’s a curse. Good content though bro ! 😂

Yeah man comments are right you are delusional 😂 this game is epic no nostalgia. like 99% of games are "fight same enemies" and a gameplay formula (in this case, its set-piece, then wave survival). I mean how else should the game be *paced*? you have peaceful and then dangerous - especially given the setting of the game.

No doubt, the gameplay wasn’t bad at all it was really smooth, it was just the spamming of the v-Rex’s that got stale for me. But I still hold this in high regards for adaptation games ( I’m looking at you Fight Club )
