Talking about “Out Getting Ribs,” he continues, “I feel like a lot of people don’t realize, when you’re as soft and as open as that-they miss the anger behind it. Even when I play it with my band, even with people that I love, I sometimes think, Fuck all of you. You don’t know what the fuck I’m talking about. You don’t even know where this comes from. That’s how I treated the music at the time, and I still treat it as a big ‘fuck you.’ I’m angry.” ーKing Krule: The Wizard of Ooz (Sept. 14 2017)

I always figured the song was about a lover that he no longer loved but still was drawn to her or maybe didn't love her at first but then caught feelings after things were casual at first "red stairs leave sense astray" but still feels lust for her. I think at the start hes saying my that he liked her but his heart wasn't involved idk. I still don't know the meaning of the whole song

This is the best version, always have to come back. The simplicity to it, not a fan of the sax they added lately
@AlexMooney-bx3ly3 ай бұрын
love this version but i lovee that sax too, especially in that new glastonbury performance
