more than i progression i just see stylistic changes. i mean the ooz had a live version in the moon, it featured space and coldness and aloofness, maybe in a way that affected the record’s cohesiveness. man alive in the contrary feels immensely foggy and rooted on earth; the sonic textures make it seamlessly entrancing, and it deals with human, low life issues much more directly. this feels like a return to a warped dystopia, at least from the spacey effects and the cover art. hoping it turns out even better

They exemplify living fully in the present moment which is something we all have access to, no matter how much negativity and contrast this world throws at us. This is amazing, I think perhaps this is about fatherhood? Having a kid who’s “you” with your eyes, your face, your hair and everything that made them beautiful is scary because the world is full of crazy and mysterious things. You don’t want that kid to experience the worst that you had, rather you give them a full and kind life. The child becomes your faith, which sometimes is the only thing you have. This was just a simple take on the song, but I absolutely love it. I have been playing non-stop since it released.
