Honestly, I'd love to see Kyrgios win a Slam. A guy who’s rarely followed the traditional route-no coach, minimal focus on fitness, and unconventional training-going on to achieve something that 99.9% of players can only dream of. Former world number ones who couldn’t get that slam. Imagine the scenes. It would just be cool to see, for once.

@@thepsychologist8159 Kinda reinforces the point that he's had this nonchalant approach to tennis but still has the potential to win a slam which is wild. Not many players like him. Maybe Bublik and Paire but you wont think they could beat Djokovic or Alcaraz in a GS final. Kyrgios can still do it.

Looking objectively, this looks close to his top level. No big first serves due to the format, so fair enough, but his overall game is really solid. Nicks relies on his first serve a lot, so being able to beat a top ten player WITHOUT his first serve, really says a lot. When he DOES have that serve, his level will be relatively higher again. One thing that really stood out was his backhand. Its not quite where it was when he destroyed Rublev, but its close. Im really looking forward to the next few months for Nick, and just hoping he can stay injury free.

I've said this a hundred times, Nick Kyrgios is the most talented tennis player of all time and its not even close. The dude can sit on the couch for 2 years and be a top 10 player after hitting some balls again for 1 week. Its ridiculous. And when he actually plays a bit more, he is the best player in the world. But he lacks something crucial: a healthy mentality. Thats why unfortunately we will never see him reach his true potential. (people dont believe it, but Kyrgios never actually warms up before matches---no matter if its the wimbledon final or an atp 500 first round---yes im not joking. So that already tells you enough about his attitude---its pure golden talent that got him so far)
