To anyone wondering why Yoda is fighting against Mickey, of all the possible options (like Meta Knight), both are small but highly respected, wise and skilled leaders of the light side of an endless war between the light and the darkness who wield blades unique to their universes (The Lightsaber and Keyblade, respectively). Both also have guilt towards the loss of their comrades after a tragedy which results in them being the only survivors and overcame that feeling by teaching the next generation. Also, both were once famously "banned" in a joking manner by the DB Cast, but had their "ban" revoked immediately afterwards. This supposed ban was referenced in the trailer announcing the battle.

Knowing the lore of both, I know how powerful Yoda is, but King Mickey can basically do almost anything with magic. That's not say Mickey is gonna win cause, this death battle, where theyre too lazy to actually research both sides, so theyre just gonna go with their favorite. As much as I think Mickey SHOULD win, I think Yoda probably will because lazy writing.

@MrWereverForever not really. Keyblades can break, but the rules for them to break are kinda foggy. Xehanort broke Ventus' keyblade in BBS after freezing him completely and throwing him from a cliff and a while latter he could summon it again, just fine, without any damage. Xemnas broke Axel's Keyblade in KH3 but, like what happened to Ven, after a while Axel could summon it just fine. Riku (and I believe Mickey as well) broke his keyblade in the Realm of Darkness in KH3, but it seems they just went to forge a new keyblade because they wanted to, they could have just waited a while and summoned the keyblade back again, and just forge a new keychain latter (this is what actually make a Keyblade more powerful). Keyblades have been used to deflect "laser" like "objects". The most common are Xemnas weapon, the Ethereal Blades, made out of pure solidified nothingness, as his element, as a Nobody, is nothingness itself. He can freely control those blades, extending them, summoning them at will or even use them like projectiles, firing several at once. Not to mention that keyblades are magical weapons, not some regular material you can just easily break permanently, they also seems to be able to cut through almost anything, just like the light sabers. I'm really curious how they'll handle KH Universe this time around, but I expect the result to be same as before, KH will win, even though I like Yoda more.

Keyblades are much stronger than lightsabers. Lightsabers can be destroyed very easily if any damage happens to the helm, and they can also malfunction and be turned on/off by accident, they also pose a risk to the user. We’ve seen Keyblades cut through entire buildings in less than a second with incredible precision, so it’s safe to say that keyblades are sharper, cut quicker, and can cut things they aren’t even touching. Not to mention, keyblades can be disintegrated and re-materialized at will, there is no possibility of malfunction, they never turn off, they are virtually indestructible especially against laser type attacks, and they don’t pose any risk to the person wielding them. They also have a whole bunch of other crazy abilities built into them such as splitting people heart from body and turning them into dark beings (heartless), and unlocking any type of door, as well as the fact they boost your magic so someone like Mickey who can use all of the elements at incredibly massive scales only benefits further from using his keyblades while he does magic. Lightsabers are literally just a high-tech laser sword with no special abilities, that can really screw the user over.

My money's on Mickey. Magic tends to be a lot more versatile than the force, and let's be honest, what has we seen Yoda do? We've seen him fight Count Dooku into a retreat, and fight Darth Sideous... and lose. Maybe he did more in the expanded universe, but from what I know, Mickey seems to have this in the bag.

Yoda has a single ability that surpasses the mouse. Precognition. It's one of the most core jedi abilities and is what allows them to be near unstoppable warriors that can deflect projectiles from multiple foes with ease. Since Yoda can see the future Mickey has no way of surprising him. Along with a jedi's ability to use telekinesis and the limitless power of the force, compared to what is implied to be a limited reserve of magic that Keyblade wielders have, Yoda should take it easily.

I think Obi wan will win again. I like both characters and although gabriel has superhuman feats (being a space marine and all) and has proberly fought for 100's of years at least as well as faced people that use magic (Eldar farseers, Isilador and Sindri to name a few), I think Obi- wan has him, Gabriel will put up a fight and he is Physically tougher and stronger, Obi wan has the speed advantage and Gabriel has almost no defense against the force, terminator armour is very VERY tough but can it stand up to a lightsaber, not to mention jedi can forsee things into the future so Gabriel might have a hard time hitting him with he's Godsplitter hammer

There is a way cooler version of Mickey as a mage, in Wizards of Mickey. He had a mech Dragon, he could one shot enemies 10x his size, he even became king of the wizards. He has some good survival feats too, like falling from orbit and surviving.

Ok after hearing this I'm probably betting on King Mickey for a much more varied forms of magic attacks compared to Yoda's force though it runs on a finite source while Yoda has infinite access to the Force. Though if Mickey plays smart and has a surprise tool that will help him later he could certainly win this, though Yoda's experience could certainly help him out and keep up with the Mouse. But overall I'm not going to root for either and just enjoy the animation and kickass soundtrack that comes with it.

The biggest issue is that we have no idea what the materials for keyblades can do, we know they can break but it's only happened once in the whole series and we've seen them SLICE CLEAN THROUGH BUILDINGS. Plus the only time it broke was under extreme pressure from the power of darkness. Which adds magic to the mix. In the end you can't try to use science. All you need to know is that Yoda would have to incorporate an immense amount of Force power to break a Keyblade and even than that's a base version of a Keyblade. As far as we know using materials like Orichalcum+ make the weapon indestructible. Also gonna say this now Xemnas' Ethereal Blades aren't lightsabers since well Riku took one canonically to the back and it didn't cut him in half. Yes they're pure energy but they act more like Electrostaffs than lightsabers. And though it was cancelled there was to be a Star Wars world in a KH phone game where it was probably show that Keyblades block Lightsabers.
