before i start ranting on these trucks, i'd like to mention i have over 30 years experience driving tow trucks and semis, i am also a mechanic, so here i go LOL looking at these trucks(not just that one) all the videos shown where the sales person explains how great the interior is and how luxurious this is and all the storage they got, i have yet to see a toolbox, but even if it has a toolbox, if something breaks you need parts, being a tow truck driver, there's places i won't go, like too far into the woods or desert or mountains, and if i "have to" you can bet you'll be walking funny when you see the bill, same will happen for a service truck, that being said, more than likely you will have to fix it yourself, most people with not only the money but also the time to enjoy this on a regular basis is more than likely retired and not in the greatest of shape to work on these, they'll feel proud and able to change a light bulb, not so much a tire, that's why alot of these buyers will not venture too far off the road, it is huge! even with a steerable axle in the rear you won't be able to turn around easy on trails, so wide open fields probably the only place to go off roading with a truck that big, so, this truck will travel 90% of it's life on asphalt and the rest of it's time in shows/campsites and storage, unless you got so much money you don't know what to do with it, go ahead, buy, have fun with your money, if you have to make payments on one of these, don't bother. if you absolutely-positively have to invest into a expedition rv, please, pretty please with sugar on top and don't spare the cherry, take some of that money and take courses on off roading a big rig like this, also, being a truck driver, i have to make a mechanical inspection of my truck everyday before i go on the road, this takes about 15 to 20 minutes and includes a full brake test, the reasons why is to make sure the vehicle is safe for the road, these trucks being classified as rv's can bypass these laws as well as weight stations but remains a heavy truck none the less, so if you don't know how to adjust your brakes properly you could find yourself in a very serious situation........but no worries, that washer/dryer option will come handy to clean those skid marks in your underwear🤣 a course just on air brakes is available almost everywhere and not that expensive, if you have read this all the way you probably really hate me LOL yeah, i like to push buttons🙃 start small, get a small 4x4 truck, have fun going off road and camping, then work your way up, for the comments about the earth roamer trucks, donut media made a video not too long ago to test the truck's capabilities......gonna stop this here, go check the video, judge by yourself😎

That beast that failed was called “The Ascender” it’s manufactured by 27 North. It’s basically a Earthroamer knockoff with zero upgrades to the suspension. That thing failed spectacularly. 😂

As a former semi OTR driver, I agree. These are for retirees but the ones that are not only in the shape to do a lot of mechanical work, but also the ones with the experience to do said mechanical work. It’s not just some lifestyle you can just get right into. I’m living in an rv and VERY thankful that my usaf experience working on aircraft still taught me the basics of electrical, mechanical, and even some cross training into hydraulics. My CDL training taught me about pretrips and the importance of them before each time I get behind the wheel. Owning one of these is much like owning a classic sports car that has also been a project car in which you’ve r² nearly every part of it, you know EXACTLY how it runs, and you can easily troubleshoot any problem it has/gets. It’s not just for leisure but if you have the money and, as you stated, someone willing to go out that far for anything you can’t fix yourself, then go for it. If you don’t have that kind of money AND experience just in case no one can come out, don’t get one as you’ll be wasting your money not being able to use it to its full potential. If your comment ruffles some feathers, it means you were right as the truth isn’t always easy to hear. 😊
