I've seen Iron Fist, Morrigan, Phoenix, Wolverine, Nova, C.Viper, Dormammu, Strider Hyryu, Hawkeye, Akuma, Ryu, Felicia, Amaterasu, X-23, Frank West, Storm, Iron Man, Viewtiful Joe, Modok, Doctor Strange,Chris Redfield, TaskMaster, etc., used in top 8 for Marvel, and some of those characters won tourneys...like Morrigan, Frank West, and Dormammu. Doom, Vergil, Dante are easy characters to learn so you will always see more of those characters... cont'd...

and you must be blind. docta doom and vergil are easily the 2 most played characters in marvel right now. There are other popular characters like nova and spencer, but those character revolve more on specific set-ups, whereas doom and vergil can be placed in any team and they'll make it good.

Check this vid on this same fucking channel, /watch?v=wWS6eKSfRzo. This is a match between Justin Wong, and Moons...there is no Dr. Doom, Sentinel, Magneto, Dante, Vergil, or even fucking Wesker! Moons kicked Justin's ass with Nova, M.O.D.O.K., and Amaterasu, and the matches were hype as fuck. There are opinion's and there is reality. The game is still "young", new tech with "low tiers" will be developed, and I wouldn't be surprised if Dr. Doom loses popularity just as Wesker has.
