im now in the chamber choir at st Aidans and am currently practicing this one to put together online during isolation. it is still one of our favourites and Mark Pallant is still our incredible conductor!

Hello George. How fascinating that you are working on line to reproduce this amazing setting to such powerful words. It must be very challenging for each member of the choir (and your conductor) to not be rehearsing together. But perhaps you are...using Zoom or something. I hope you will make it available to the wider public! Please send me a link.

@@michaeldndenny I'm sure it will be uploaded to KZbin when finished
Hi George! I was in Chamber in 2010 and 2011 (I'm om the back row somewhere!) - sadly couldn't make it to the virtual choir though. Mark Pallant was absolutely fantastic! He retired in July 2022, but his legacy and impact lives on.

This is a very successful arrangement and the choir does it justice. The opening is spellbinding and the full loud section uplifting. I love this rendering and am happy to play it over and over.

Sorry for commenting too much but my final comment about this choir is that I hope they reappear on international stage; they are one of those choirs that once you watch their videos (e.g. this one and Rivers of Babylon in 2010), you won't stop replaying
@michaeldndenny5 жыл бұрын
Temitope Faleti Don't be sorry! I totally agree with you. Since this was a school choir, I think it unlikely they will perform on an international stage. However, through KZbin they are playing to individuals all over the globe.Praise God for that.

This is a truly inspirational arrangement. I am only sorry that it has taken me so long to come across it. Bravo!!

I was just singing this arrangement now. The chorus says it all for me because I sometimes feel like I should be punished and not shown mercy (e.g. this is the second time I felt like I should have been soaked because I made my mum angry even though I didn't mean to upset her)

Ulrike. I just love it! I have used it as a finale to a children's talk in church. My Squeaky rabbit and I went on a trip to London and Squeaky was so excited to see Buckingham Palace. He wanted to see the Queen I had to tell him that we can't see her on a day to day basis. But if we are a Christian, we have access to the King of Kings, The Lord Jesus, whenever we want! ( or words to that effect!) I finish with us listening to and singing along to 'King of Kings'. Kids and parents seem to love the story. I could send you the KZbin link or you may be able to find it on KZbin under Squeaky's Trip to London. God bless you.

Hey just wondering from the rest of your videos you seem to be Hebrew is this true? Marvelous selection ive heard it hundreds of times still amazes me
@michaeldndenny5 жыл бұрын
Hey Joshua I'm so sorry I've only just seen your comment. Interesting thought about me being Hebrew. I am a Christian but I have a deep love of the Old Testament and was blessed to have a very deep friendship with a lovely Jewish man, Allan Fomin, who taught me Hebrew. Maybe that's where you have picked it up from.

Hi, thank you for posting the video. I really love this arrangement and would like to perform it with a choir. Does anybody know where I could buy the sheet music (with this arrangement)? Thanks for your help! God bless

Sorry Ulrike, I don't know. I suspect the school choir director will have composed the arrangement. Perhaps contact the school?

Thanks Michael! Yes, probably. It's just a magnificent arrangement of a great worship song! So I'll try to contact the school...
