I wanted to main subzero, his combos are cool looking and he’s a classic awesome character, getting sub 30 damage with his combos is very frustrating especially with Kung Lao doing the same string twice and then a special move is over 32% without meter or kameo

I think the damage fall off is happening bc of both Sareena's 4 hits and freezing. Iirc damage fall off is based on number of hits, and in previous games I think a freeze added 3 hits to the damage calculator internally. Obviously Sub Zero's damage is still super low tho

I think the reason Sub-Zero doesn't get as much damage as others is because when you break the game down if you're optimizing your combos to at least 300 damage (30%) you only need to touch your opponent 4 times. If you include zoning, droped combos, pokes etc. 3 combos connected will win the match. Sub being a set up character it makes it easier to get those 3 needed touches, However a buff would be nice especially because Baraka is allowed to do 500 (50%) damage fairly easily.
