Great video and a great comparison! The Monkey Paw is 0.025" thick, but they have other sets in the different sets. So far I still tend to grab my Monkey Paw when I'm in deep and need that extra grip in the lock, but the Elephant trunks are really good with Medeco so they are getting a bit of use in my collection. I think Southern Specialties uses Full Hard Stainless and Sparrows uses High Yield that goes thru a tempering process using extreme cold (hench cold-max). The problem I have with the Cold-Max is that it can make the pick more brittle if something goes wrong in the process or if there is a flaw in the steel. I think for knives it's great, but when you go for something like a lockpick it can greatly increase the risk of an imperfection that will cause failure. For the most part I think Sparrows and Southern Specialties make their picks in America, but there might be one-or-two components that come from over seas.
